And changing the status quo all of 20 episodes into a show seems silly. I would like to see them deal with lesser known historical figures though. I think that would be less distracting. I think they should be mining DC for out of commission heroes.

They had to. I don't know how they would explain that Laurel Lance to the people at Iron Heights.

I appreciate that we are connected on a human level and it's a frame of mind in which we should all aspire to exist. But growing up and being educated in the developing world, you get a real acute awareness of how much accepted wisdom doesn't really apply to you or much of the world.
Our connections, in a practical

Who's we? Most Europeans aren't affected by slavery the way I, an afro-Caribbean woman, am. And Europe is far too broad when discussing Trans-Atlantic slavery. That's a handful of countries and a small part of the population involved. All of us are not tied to anything.

But it doesn't affect most Europeans though. It still affects some, but the average person is not living off the wealth of their ancestors colonial rule. Some people in Britain, Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands still benefit. But if you're black in the Americas, slavery affects you constantly.

Impossible is a stretch. I'd think red lightning and a yellow blur would give him pause at the very least.

They do a bunch of weird stuff. Sara said the Reverse Flash was faster than Barry which she couldn't possibly know. Even if she knew Barry at the time, there's no way she could physically see a speedster. Stein might be more likely to guess at that but they always sideline Firestorm. Then they dropped the whole thing.

Stein should know about Thawne. He and Ronnie fought him before.

Absolutely fantastic. And the themes for Malcolm, Deathstroke, Dahrk and Hive? So good.

I've been rewatching random episodes of The Flash just to listen to the score. The scene where they pan across all the villains scratched that same itch. Blake Neely does good work.

Yeah, I see some people complaining that it had very little to do with the invasion story but this was so impressive. Particularly because the renewed focus on Arrow's strengths has been so rewarding all season. God, I loved this. It's more ambitious but it reminds me of the first set of crossovers, where the

Too soon.

Having flashbacks of Barry catching her arrow the night before?

Also, he was drag racing when they met him. Not trusting his judgment doesn't seem so unreasonable.

I think that would be the case if this was caused by Flashpoint but I'm pretty sure this is Stein's own doing.

Also, it's absurd for him to be calling Barry selfish when the initial source of his angst is him wanting Barry to change the timeline. I understand he's grieving but SO. IS. BARRY. (Sorry for the caps). He lost his father all those years because of his mother's murder, only to have him murdered too. All of these

They did the same thing in Supergirl last year when they adapted For the Man Who Has Everything. Change a fundamental element of the story and make it dramatically less interesting. There is no doubt comics Barry needed to undo Flashpoint. The TV version doesn't have that. They just seem too clever for their own good.

You could still have that with an actor that didn't hover over Superman. I think it could work but it hasn't at all.

Didn't Ollie also say Oracle was taken when he named Felicity Overwatch?

The fact that he insisted on being called James in the first episode was our first indication. I saw an interview with Carlos Valdes and the interviewer said he was so happy that there was a Latino nerd on TV. I wish they did the same thing with Jimmy. Obviously Cisco is still very pretty, but he doesn't look like he
