I guess then it depends on the type of business. To me, restaurants are mostly subjective. There are some standards to uphold, but I’m the kind of person who doesn’t care as long as the minimum quality was reached.

Agreed, but there’s a difference between a one star review for “My drink took 10 minutes” and one star review for “I’m out $1000 and this contractor did a shit job I have to pay even more money to fix.” One is overkill, the other is probably not.
It was my sad revenge as a consumer who felt duped. I might have felt altruistic when I pressed that publish button, but it was a selfish decision meant only to make myself feel a little better.
But I think the term “conservative” came from being fiscally conservative all around, which would also include the military, right? I mean, of course now it’s out of control, but that’s part of the current problem. I could be wrong, though.
Fish turner.
“The change also means that @replies, or tweets that being with the username of another Twitter user, will reach all of your Twitter followers.”
This is a very tenuous argument you’re making. Does everyone who’s lost someone to tobacco use get to sue the companies? What about alcohol abuse? Car accidents? What if someone dies in a DUI-related car accident? Can I sue Anheuser AND GM?
Look, his death was tragic and the tobacco companies deployed a heartless, immoral policy of manipulating users. But to a degree of being legally or civilly responsible? Adults make choices. These choices can be harmful. But they’re our choices.
Come on, you guys. Yankee Stadium wasn’t built by the city, it was built by the Yankees. Then, ok, sure, it was renovated by the city, 50 years after it was first built. And the city did build the new one. But not because it “reached the end of its natural structural life.”
You’re on an American site, so it’s pretty clear that it is going to cater to Americans, not the 95% of the world that almost entirely is ignorant of this site’s existence. Either google a simple conversion, or learn a very simple system. If I can handle both Imperial and metric, then I am sure you can as well.
I prefer some natural light. And having my own house. Living in an apartment building sucks.
Aw thanks :)
I deserve that.
But it’s remarkable how much some people—Twitter eggs and Facebook uncles who bitch about their freedom of speech being corrupted because other people had the gall to exercise theirs—really want to hang onto their gay jokes.
You wanna know how to succeed in life? Quit giving people the satisfaction of your reaction. Treat everyone you meet with kindness no matter how much they’ve wronged you. Be the bigger person. People are going to be assholes and there is not one single solitary thing you can do about it except for controlling yourself…
It’s almost as if people with 0 experience in a field shouldn’t be writing laws about that field.
I’ve composed a poem/insane person rant using all of Drew’s all caps words:
While you are correct, you just illustrated why I hate GMO labeling — because it tells the consumer absolutely nothing. If a tomato is labeled “GMO”, it might mean “modified to resist pesticides”, in which case I would probably avoid it, or it might mean “modified to stay resist freezing”, in which case I would be…
