It’s actually much cheaper when I eat out, but admittedly, I don’t have the discipline to buy in bulk, plan out meals, manage expiration dates, and eat the same shit for dinner 3-4 times in a week.

Also, don’t beat yourself up too much when things get thrown out. One of the things that prevented me from cooking regularly was feeling like a failure if something went bad before I used it.
