Shortening a chassis has been done many times by manufacturers to affordably facilitate a sporty model, including the aforementioned Nissan 350z. The Ford Thunderbird (11th gen) was a shortened Lincoln LS/Jaguar S-Type. Lexus shortened the IS sedan for the convertible, Chevy shortened the Holden Commodore, etc.

Toyota engineers are among the best in the world, and they really didn’t need BMWs help here. The choice for going with BMW is purely economic and based on a ideal that they needed to stick with an inline-six, which was a mistake. Nissan moved their beloved 240/260/280Z over to a V6 for the 300Z and after, and their

I would have certainly made it a teaching moment by DSQ’ing the driver and the entire team. Make an example out of them for what happens when you ignore safety rules. Let the other teams realize how serious that is, otherwise it could be chaos. As an endurance racer myself, I’d feel better knowing that they wouldn’t

At least 25 yellow flags at that.

If the track marshals were rude, their heart is still in the right place. They are passionate about their sport and safety of the competitors/workers.

No doubt: 0.43mm paint is thiiiicccccc

Mils = thousands of an inch. 17 mils is 0.017 inches or about 0.43mm.

    You’re magnificent. Have a star.

Wow a Wrangler felt less dated than a Frontier?

Boxster is the real Certified Good Choice because they’re practically free.

Perfect choice. Plenty of decent ones around $10k that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy.

As a long time Honda owners, I’d agree that 4-cylinder Honda AC systems tend to be on the weak side, especially the older cars. My S2000 AC felt very effective, but it had a small cabin to cool and the vents were very close by. Now the Pilots I’ve owned have had great AC units, and the condenser is gigantic, maybe 5

No, in my math the TFD shuts down after the quarter and coasts the remaining 4000 feet or so.

Damn that’s seriously impressive. Interestingly, that Ford GT will still get stomped by a Top Fuel dragster. They hit 335mph in the quarter after about 4 seconds: assuming it just coasts for another 3/4 mile and loose 150mph or so over that distance. If it averaged 250mph over the last 3,960 ft, it would take 11

Right. 3rd row headroom looks to be compromised by the fastback hatch design.

Agreed. I think the EB110, Veyron, and the Chiron are all hideous (Chiron less so). The Black Car is the first pretty Bugatti in about 100 years, in my opinion.

    You have my star...

    Too soon!

    Have a goddamn star.
