@buffcoat and beaver: I wonder what Freud would have to say about that. Or about me making the comparison, for that matter.

@Jeff Sine: That's the first time I've ever heard the AE82 called beautiful. I don't find it particularly unattractive, but beautiful?
@buffcoat and beaver: I actually think that's quite good looking. I would be embarrassed to drive it, but I like it.
@IamZardoz: U trollan.
@johnny-Lovecraft: Holy shit that's awesome. Personally I think it would look even better on a more vintage gun like a Winchester 30/30 or at least something with wood furniture.
@CoolScreenNamePending: Or when an automatic weapon runs out of rounds and they keep pulling the trigger and you hear "click, click, click" each time. I suppose that would work with a double action revolver, but not with an AK-47 for crissakes.
@gileadslostson: The violence in Mexico has nothing to do with where you're from. It's not anti-American upheaval, it's a power grab by the drug cartels. It's mostly Mexican-on Mexican violence, and most foreigners hurt or killed are just caught in the crossfire. As a Scot, you would be no safer than an American.
@jmcm: When I hear people say that basic human rights are "provided" by the government, I get scared.
@MrTripps: The fact that you call tea party protests "rioting" shows just how innocent Americans are when it comes to social upheaval. I think we're quite capable of it, but it's been a long time since we've seen real social upheaval.
@BuhoLoco40: Oh, don't worry. I'm definitely staying at least 12nm off the coast. Even if I ventured inside territorial waters, though, they would still only have law enforcement powers. Sinking my ship would still be the largest diplomatic faux pas of the decade. Now that you know it's safe, want to donate funds?
@Budly: Do it. It's easy and it costs like six dollars. You also get a pretty good education in basic electrical theory through the studying. 2 weeks of studying and the test is pretty easy to nail.
@neridqe: What a sad little life you must lead.
@alexLmx6: Yep, there have been for something like 150 years and it still floors me every time I think about it. How do they service them? What happens when they go across trenches? Do they just lay across? Wouldn't drifting sediment bury some sections dozens of feet deep in mud?
@AreWeThereYeti: There are no impossibly long stretches in the history of world politics.
@Captain Fish: Why were you watching two year old reruns of the Barcelona Olympics when you could have been watching the Lillehammer Olympics live? Also, why weren't you listening to the Smashing Pumpkins?
@Moonshadow Kati aka Lady Locksmith: Ultimate fireball!
@link12245: That's bullshit. So much for reasonable doubt, huh?
...and nothing of value was lost.
@Slid Pissed Tossed Mazda3hatch sideways into a effin DITCH: I've never owned an R5 Turbo, but I'm guessing that the service intervals on a high-strung 1.4L Turbo engine will be a little less than 30k. Oil changes on a 308 are a piece of cake. Major services, not so much, but at least I can find a Ferrari…
@BuhoLoco40: Attacking a foreign flagged vessel in international waters is an act of war. Remember when Navy SEALs waxed those pirates that took over the Maersk Alabama? The diplomatic fallout of an actual government-sanctioned attack on a merchant vessel would be suicidal. Not even North Korea is that stupid.
