@trunicated: Okay, so we're agreed then. I'll stand up for what I believe in while you continue to submit to an ever-creeping series of regulations and violations in the name of "security".

@Midnight_Tengen: Yeah, and there are numerous ways to pass a truck and accelerate onto the freeway WITH the gas pedal floored all the way down, so what's your point? You don't know this guy's driving style, so I'm sorry, but you don't have enough information to make this argument. WOT does not equal speeding,…
@tundraboy: "We supported governments that for decades brutalized their people," and your suggestion is that we remedy that by allowing our own government to take another step toward the brutalization of its own people?
@Akio Morita: Win.
@trunicated: So your only argument is to act like I'm supporting the kind of childish behavior that Def PD suggested AS A JOKE? I said "Inconveniencing or antagonizing low-level officials," not "rip ass in his face". There are many more grown-up ways to inconvenience and antagonize officials. Always choosing to opt…
@DaeSu: False dichotomy.
@Wayne Ripley: The TSA would love to get their hands on General Aviation. The only problem right now is the cost of setting up screening checkpoints at every two-bit airstrip in the country. The solution remains to be seen. Either they'll give up and not screen GA, or they'll close down any airport that they deem…
@trunicated: Go ahead and show us, then. You keep using "private company" as your argument, as if it makes some sort of difference.
@trunicated: That an officer is just "doing his job" is no excuse and no reason to submit to him. Inconveniencing or antagonizing low-level officials is exactly how you fight authority. The American Revolution started with the tar-and-feathering of customs officials who were "just doing their job".
@ohgreatitsryan: Yay! I'm a PATRIOT!!
@oyumurtaci: Wait, what? Why did they have to slow down before entering the crossroads? For all we know, the accelerator stuck half a mile back down the road and they blasted right through the intersection. Your calculations are based on too little evidence.
@Midnight_Tengen: There's no reason to assume that a pedal having reached WOT means the driver was speeding. This is a four cylinder Camry with four adults on board. There are any number of reasons the driver could have momentarily WOTed the car. Maybe he passed a truck shortly before the offramp? Maybe his gas…
I'm sorry, but I'm not understanding the "flying is a privilege, not a right, so deal with it" argument. Driving is a privilege, but last time I checked, I still had Fourth Amendment rights in my car. I don't understand why I should be expected to give them up as soon as I reach the airport. What am I missing here?
@LumpyDog: We're gonna score.
@maximum_sarge: TSA is dying to get their hands on General Aviation traffic. If/when they figure out a way to impose security checks on bizjet passengers, they will.
@Xazp: The point is not just to slow the line down, but to bring it to a screeching halt nationwide. You know why? Because people like yourself aren't pissed off enough. You should be, but you're not. Thats why every security line needs to be brought to a crawl.
@Jessestalker: "personally i'd rather be scanned (and have everyone else scanned) than have an underwear bomber on my plane."
@FuriousFrank: Low wages are no excuse. We need to keep pressure on the low wage earners, because they are the first line of defense between us and the authority. If we disagree with what they are doing, we can not accept their Nuremburg-style defense of their actions. Why is it that TSA's "policies" should…
@BtheD19: I was thinking the same thing. There's only one way to find out!
@Lotte: Hellrot! Best color name ever.
