@Grindhouse Murders: TOGA! TOGA!
@Grindhouse Murders: TOGA! TOGA!
@digital11: I don't think distance is a factor. In a quantum leap, a particle moves from one orbit to another without existing anywhere in between. The move does not happen in increments. It is a revolutionary move, not an evolutionary one. For instance, when the jet engine replaced the piston engine, it could be…
Well, it beats Capsicum, that's for sure.
@Elhigh: I think you make a very good point. 6:45 on this video has a great Jackie Stewart comment on smoothness.
@Buckus: Actually, I meant it as a compliment. I just found it funny that we were using Hyundai/Kia as a metric for how well Fiat could improve their image, seeing as how 40 years ago, the roles were reversed. Hyundai/Kia make some kick ass cars, and I have high hopes for Fiat as well.
@fhrblig: That's certainly a good point. I will reserve judgment until I am able to sample one of their more refined offerings.
Pretty good cars these days? I've done some serious driving in one of these (on SoCal freeways, nonetheless!), and I can tell you that "pretty good car" is not how I'd describe it. Cutting my knuckles open on mold flashing in the interior is not what I consider to be the mark of a quality automobile. Its main…
@Tucker589: There's a New Mexico?
@OA 5599: obligatory.
@Crash Bandihoon: Turbo OR Hybrid, unfortunately.
@spiegel1-Bob Cosworth, Sportscaster: They all look the same anyway... they're basically interchangeable.
@spiegel1-Bob Cosworth, Sportscaster: I like it, but I'm still wondering why holding someone else's baby makes me an idiot and revokes my sexual privileges. It's not fair!
@Scoutdude: Oh, there's no denying that many hybrids deliver better city MPG than highway, and much of that is due to regenerative braking. You're absolutely right there. I was just saying that stop-and-go would never be more efficient than steady travel at the same speed.
@mehoff88: So you must be from one of those countries that has never had any large industrial accidents or committed crimes against its people.
@Maxichamp: Яма́л fuck yes! That entire fleet gets the official awesome seal of approval!
@bobmarley101: Yep, and the Russkies are pretty good at it, too. For goodness sakes, they even have some designed just for the polar environment!
@mehoff88: I'm sure you're smart enough to build your own nuclear reactors, right? Or maybe if you had only been born earlier, you would have had the chance to put the first satellite in orbit, or the first man in orbit? Maybe you could have invented the space suit, or designed the most popular and beloved rifle…
@WilliamG.: I've seen it in person, and I must say I think it's a handsome little car, considering its mission role.
@Scoutdude: First Law of Thermodynamics fail. A car will never be more efficient in stop-and-go driving than it will in maintaining a steady speed. Regenerative braking helps to reclaim some of the energy lost during braking, and it manages to apply some of that reclaimed energy back to the wheels during…
