We need to stop the trend of calling outside mirrors "OSRVMs". They're NOT rear view mirrors! More and more people are using them incorrectly (as rear view mirrors, repeating the image they see on the inside mirror), and this is becoming so commonplace that even manufacturers are starting to forget the point of side

@Laycock: I'm curious, because I'm having a hard time thinking of a single vehicle on which the d-pillar is closer to the rear wheels than is the c-pillar.

@shawnbassplayer: First of all, props for sticking around and defending your point of view in the face of massive criticism, and doing so without resorting to childish tactics and attacks. We wildly disagree, but you still get my respect for that.

@shawnbassplayer: The old "If you aren't doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about" line is the great fallacy of the debate on government surveillance. Anyone who trots it out displays a complete lack of historical literacy not only pertaining to the US Constitution, but to the rise of tyranny at any time

@Novaload: I put it up on four jackstands and had a friend watch when I hit the gas and tell me which wheels were spinning. How else did you think I found out?

@m.m.shaefer: Yes, yes! It's like those Facebook commenters who answer "R32 Nissan Skyline" to every single QOTD. Another one is "AE86 Toyota Sprinter Trueno", although this type of mentality seems to be shifting toward "Toyota Chaser" and "Toyota Soarer" in recent weeks.

@thedudeabides: How about "my car failed smog because it had too much nitrous oxide in the exhaust".

There's a news outlet around here that always insists on reporting: "so and so was killed when his car lost control, went off the road, and rolled."

I would have expected more of a commenting shitstorm of "what kind of car is that in picture number 7?" type comments, which would subsequently devolve into battles between commenters lasting at least 15 posts. I am disappointed.

@crazycarlarry: My favorite of the pre-H-Engine Saabs. I vote for the dirty one, too.

@DocWalt: Yep, it stopped being called "Hilux" in the US in '75 or '76.

Looks like Kaylin was lucky to have someone introduce her to motorsports at such a young age. So sad about her loss, and hopefully she has someone else who can step up and continue in the spirit of what her dad started.

Some people should just stick to turbocharged fours.
