Based on the videos, it appears it was just off the transporter, and still in transport mode. It does not appear it was put in there by the new owner, but rather it had not been taken out of the mode yet post-shipping. Also, Transport Mode has no effect on airbag installation.

Having manufacturers install proprietary interfaces is very dumb and not in the consumer’s interest, it’s purely in the manufacturer’s interest. But, if you’re a Tesla fan, you’re probably already used to your manufacturer selling you a bunch of software updates and premium services that should be free

Why? WHY are they doing this? This is the equivelant of saying “Sure... Michelin and Goodyear make great tires... but we’re gonna make our own that cost more, and aren’t quite as good. And also, you can’t change them out easily for 3rd party ones anymore like you used to be able to do because the brakes are controlled
