I’d personally rather have one built off of a KX500. This KIPS power valve sacrificed some top end for a more* rideable power-band.

Hasn’t this always been the case? As with any grey software market, there are the known and trusted providers, and then the rest that are likely to give your machine an STD. They get the rubes, in general.
