I think the key is “rural area”. I also live in a (very) rural town, and see a relatively high per-capita number of new Mitsus. Likely due to the Wal-Mart pricing and forever upside-down financing options.

Maybe. I rarely sit back there. A few road trips have not resulted in any seating complaints. The function is worth it to me.

I was planning to look hard at a new Bronco this time next year when my current auto loan is paid off. With all of the current, and expected, new car financing deals and ash on the hood, I may actually get something with very low depreciation now with free money, and consider a Bronco a year or two later.

Personally: I’m fine. Naturally antisocial and live way out in the sticks. For me, this all means I WFH more often (my preference), visit the store less often, and have to home-school my son. That last part is a challenge. I also spend a bit more time refreshing Kinja sites to get the comments section to load.…
