I totally agree. I just wanted to lament the fact that we’re most likely to get two things:

Counterpoint:
Too bad it’ll cost triple-Jimny prices.
Somebody missed a payment to the Pai fund.
I drove a 34 footer with a trailered C/K Blazer from NM to MO. Even considering a gas stop was stressful.
“happy dance” haha
Or a solar setup.
That combined with the desire to cast an image of success by getting more car than they can afford. They’re already at the upper limits of that desire vs income. Sub services are a step too far, like you said.
The what? Where are these things?
American men really are a bunch of self-conscious head-cases, aren’t we? The idea that thousands of men couldn’t bring themselves to consider a car because it was given* away on a ‘women’s show’ is just pathetic.
Maybe that’s what Raphael would have chosen... If he hadn’t gone completely insane at the last second.
5th Gear:
Who are you guys arguing with?
They both look like products if multi-generational inbreeding?
Concept or Production, The looks of either don’t bother me. Production ‘Defender’ mirrors my mental image of the new Bronco. The function bothers me. It’s just another modern Land Rover now:
“This First Edition orange and white interior looks incredible”
It's likely the best re: feel and action. But "best" is a bit subjective. Ill hold on to my Anansi. The only keyboard I've seen with macro keys where they can be pressed with your thumbb without moving off wasd

I don’t want to buy a car that has a 10% chance of being useless to me. If I need more range than the pack has, or I forgot to fill up yesterday, it’s not like I can stop at the station for a couple minutes to top off. I have to plan 30 min to an hour on top of my schedule to make up for that limitation.
It’s at least a large part of why I’d watch the sequel. It’s good to see female action leads that look like they could actually perform the action sequences.
I’ve been toying with the idea of doing this with an early 90's Suburban, I have a Blazer soft-top in the garage doing nothing. It would probably take about this much to do it well.
