Agreed. It only serves as another layer of delay between the driver and reacting to a potentially fatal impact. Too many tests showing all of these systems following a car, which moves over to avoid an obstacle, followed by the system going “hurr-durrr... Oh, beep-beep *crunch*” into said obstacle. Waymo is doing it…

If all the manufacturers are gonna be swinging with each other, find a way to bring Suzuki into the fold and get the Jimmy over here. Whether it be branded a Suzuki, Jeep, Renault, or whatever. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
Could have bounced through a couple auctions
This has to be a scrapyard owner that just throws stuff together with zero fucks given for form or function.
Check the Peoria, Illinois Craigslist. Specifically: Motorcycles. There are some incredible Meth-fueled nightmares
The CarFax on this thing is a disaster. CP
Were they smart enough to get the insurance coverage?
If he puts this on a dedicated market, like advrider, There will be someone at the airport for a fly-n-ride within the week. The DS/ADV bike market is growing (there is a ‘crossover of the bike world’ argument to be made). An R100G/S is royalty to the OGs.
The space is equivalent between the Tahoe and the Pacifica (Pacifica has more cargo volume). Price difference is, give-or-take, $25k for the base 2WD, $30k if you want AWD. MPG is 7 point win to the minivan. Something Like a Honda pilot would cut the price gap in half (still a lot of extra money for no benefit), and…
Can’t look weak for the Joneses. There really isn’t any logical reason for 7-seat SUV over minivan other than image. But I had the same issue with my wife over a hatchback vs sedan a few years ago. Didn’t like the “egg shape” and also didn’t like any ‘block-shape’ hatches like the Golf.
Poor Bram Schot. He has to take over as CEO at a very low point. If he fails miserably, his only recourse will be to exit stage-left with his gigantic golden parachute. Short of following his predecessor down the path of egregious malfeasance and corruption, he’s likely set for life regardless of how well he does.…
I have a ‘13 Focus. Luckily, a manual. Paradoxically, I got the Focus because I was looking for a cheap small car with a manual, and this was what I found. Regardless, I don’t have to deal with this tranny issue, and I’m glad for that.
Glad I have the Manual.
“Stinger” is a better name than ‘6’. Objective fact, MoreRealNames!
That wasn’t an Evoque, it is a Chinese knock-off. My definition of a knock-off. I thought the vents were more Mercedes CLS. Maybe the A3 is knocking that off. (hyperbole, of course). My point being, automakers use similar design features all the time, and have done so for a very long time. A signature element would be…
Auto-insurance loses money? That boggles my mind. 20 years of driving, no claims. If you do have a claim, they jack rates to compensate themselves for providing the service you paid for. I always assumed that Auto-insurance was like a casino; License to print money.
That extra $12k should buy something other than the badge. Of course everything is a bit cheaper feeling, you’re paying a clean used car’s worth of extra retail.
