Satire?

I actually got a response, they’re now calling it a “pricing error”:

Seems predatory. This same dealership will likely work out financing at 120 months to “get the payment where you need it”. They’re counting on a person without the wherewithal to understand what the price is supposed to be. Likely mentally compromised, to be honest.

In what super-recession, post-apocalypse universe is the MSRP 50k on a Veloster?

Hyundai/KIA dealers have been oddly prone to this crap in my experience. When I bought my Genesis Coupe (as soon as they got off the first boat), I had to drive 10hrs to a dealership that wasn’t trying to cash in on $6k+ markups. These same dealerships had the same cars available 6 months later at MSRP, which is still

“the Motor Trend Network, which used to be Velocity...”, which used to be SpeedVision, which used to be The Speed Channel.

It might be nationalist, but I always take a hard pass on a German that’s traveled 150k+.

Cynically reading between the lines: It’s going to grow in both size and price, on the same platform, to grab that fat pickup profit margin. I had hope at the point the article said it would be on the same platform (good, lower cost), until the size increase. They’ll probably still be the cheapest, but it won’t be

I’d light a 2-stroke scented candle if I had one. Love the smell of pre-mix in the air.

“just want to go rip around for a few hours

I think I see what David likes about it:

“Ghosn left the Renault board on Wednesday... replaced by former head of Daimler’s Smart brand Annette Winkler.

I’m glad this car exists, and applaud the builder’s vision.

“Gee, I sure am glad that this AD autoplays before the video autoplays when I click on the post.” – Nobody.

60 vs 45 is obviously hyperbole. But, you will be paying about $5k more for the Glad vs an equivalent Ranger. And you’ll be giving up amenities at every level in favor of offroad capability (considering FX4 isn’t on par with the Rubicon upgrades). It’s an expensive truck.

I’ve been toying with the idea of finding another clean square-body Blazer (full-size), since I still have a soft-top for it. I love the ability to use it as an SUV or a truck, depending on my need. I’m going to look hard at this Bronco when it’s released, but I feel like it’s sure to start at over $35k for a 4x4.

I have zero faith in the current POTUS doing anything with Americans’ benefit in mind. That said, I’m not all that quick to jump on either side of a bunch of Billionaires fighting over which of them get to keep the most of our money. Everything the auto industry execs say are taken with a pillar of salt.

Yeah, this is more fed from the Manf. end. I get why; Each drivetrain option is expensive for them, so they want to minimize the range to what sells ’best’. Automatics sell better per-trim that they’re both available on, so they only put the manual on one trim (usually Base stripper), and then say that Manuals only

That would be great, as long as Mazda is able to inject some fun back into Subaru, instead of having fun sucked away by the CVT Least-common-denominator vehicles that Subaru makes now.
