As a member of the Rural Route population, my deliveries will continue to come from clapped out sedans, wagons, and SUVs with the mail-carrier hanging one leg over the center column to work the pedals.

It feels very much like the GT-86 build-up. Started with “OMG this is going to be amazing”... Fast forward several years of slow painful reveal... and ended up being a respectable little car with an air of disappointment over what could have been.

This has been the sweet-spot I’ve hoped for on the Miata. This puts the Power-to-weight ratio (12.88 lb:hp)on par with the Focus ST(12.79) and in the neighborhood of the Mustang V6(11.75). Which is the top 3 for about $25k.

People are “split” on the looks of the Type-R?

Hyundai Kia dealers have been this way for a long time. It’s what kept me out of an Optima about 5 yrs ago, and almost did the same with a Gen Coupe when they were first released. I had to drive 10hrs away to find a reasonable dealership that was jut starting out and needed to build a reputation. I’ve pretty much

Same as using the “Affluenza” defense. Except for two differences:

“...Here that’s mated with GM’s 5L40-E five-speed automatic”

I priced these when I was looking to go from Wagon to Minivan. It’s a decent size, with a very low-tier interior (which is fine), for at least $25k. This isn’t a lot of coin, but I was shopping it alongside GCs and T&Cs, so it fell very flat. I ended up going Certified low-mileage T&C and haven’t looked back. I love

That order code B4U. Love the subtle arrogance.

An XTi is a car that I’ve wanted for a while. Ever since my OB XT of the same generation. This looks like a well done emulation, too. The fact that he went as far as replacing the steering rack, et al, instead of just power mods and badges, tells me that he really cared about the end-result. That said, he didn’t leave

Ouch

Erzberg (while called a Hare-Scramble) is really a ‘Hard Enduro’ type event. HS is booking it through the trees, generally. But Hard Enduro is taking extremely skilled riders and making them ride seemingly impossible terrain

Experienced this exact situation as a passenger. It was also in St. Louis, though it was 20+yrs ago. My uncle (the troublemaker of the family, tbf) was at least as equally irreverent to the officer, who was a plain-clothes Det. in an unmarked car.

It’s a Wheeler

Fair point. Toyota has clearly heard, and heeded, all of the calls for more power in the FRS/GT-86

Having owned a couple of Hyundai’s previous attempts at performance-ish (03 Tiburon GT and ‘10 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track), I’ll remain pessimistic but hopeful. Both of my forays into Hyundai left me with a taste of ‘less than the sum of its parts’. The Genesis Coupe was especially disappointing. Felt like it had an
