Is it really roadblock? Assuming nothing illegal happened, it becoming an issue would amp up the animosity on both sides, but if I had to guess, I'd say it'd really light a fire under the asses of the left. That would benefit her.

TGW creative team was, I think, totally showing its political stripes her (and I don't mean that as a criticism) with the Bishop PAC stuff. Obviously, not all politicians will be bought by drug lords, but with the influx of money into politics, many will be bought in some way or another.

That's a good point.

Oppo research can fail or be less than comprehensive, can't it?

I started to watch that but was falling asleep—not because of the show, but because I was tired. I want to get into it, because so many others have seen it and raved, so I am curious, why did you hate it so much?

For men, it's usually beer or whiskey, no?
I think everyone here is over thinking this a little. She's been shown to drink it in the past, and she drinks it now. Had she started drinking tequila on a regular basis, it would have rung false.

There might have been some of that, but I think it was also about power and her not being in the loop about these things.

Totally, completely off topic, but while I am not a wine person—I like it, but I just don't drink it that often for a few reasons—I do remember this absolutely awesome red wine that had Brandy and maybe something else in it from a wine tasting a few years ago. I prefer white, because I like stuff chilled, but man oh

Not sure about the drama category, but I could see JM repeating and this being her episode. It wasn't as dramatic as Hitting the Fan, but I think it was just as effective. She was just great in it.

What was so outrageous about Owen's scandal? The man who almost ran against Obama in 2004 was involved in a nasty divorce with Star Trek actress Jeri Ryan about him wanting to take her to sex clubs—for, I assume, not Soduku, but group sex or something.

Chicago's a big city, and to me at least, it doesn't seem like a stretch to have one or two cops wait out a person to pull them over.

If that's true…damn, will this be getting even better.

Well, he's the one interfering in a marriage. Yes, that comes with obvious qualifications, but it's nonetheless true. And it's not like he had anything bad happen to him. He had a few juicy details about his life revealed to his sister and a few other people who, unless it interferes with their jobs, apparently

1. I don't think she looks that skinnny, and I doubt, given her age and her status in Hollywood, she's feeling the pressure to be so dangerously thin.

Why does Owen deserve empathy? I'm not saying he's a monster, but empathy? Maybe I missed something.

Oh, shitballs.

That's interesting, because I specifically remember someone from my college, which was heavily Jewish, telling me that he was going into the IDF after college. I am pretty sure he never emigrated and has been back in the country for at least 2-3 years. That was back in 2007, though, so maybe something changed.

Wasn't it established in the past she was Jewish? And in the laws of TV, it would make sense that she was in the IDF, given the last time we saw her was years ago.

There was one lawyer, played by Annabeth Gish I think, who represented his OTHER side. We saw her once, when she taunted Diane about LG being in bankruptcy, but I don't think we ever saw her again. Lester seems more like a cleaner, although I could be mistaken.

That's like saying all money is not fungible when it is. One hand feeds the other, so even if they don't directly help him with his drug business, they are giving him indirect assistance by helping him with other stuff.
