What about it doesn't feel like the show based on what we've seen in the past?

Everything I've read or heard about what the process was like…they got it right. Not that the cops are ever going to be like your grandma, but they go above and beyond to make it miserable.

What cable channel? Around where I live, it plays for three straight hours, starting at midnight on Saturday night. I had no idea this was happening and only stumbled onto it by accident. So wonderful and surprising.

When I first saw the bald detective (or whatever his position was), I coulda sworn it was Stanley Tucci. I was thrilled at this notion, for obvious reasons, but I figured it couldn't be true, because it seemed too small potatoes for him. Turns out I was right. But still, Kings, let's get him on the show, along with,

I liked how Robyn took her own money—and her effin' parents' money—to help Cary, when she herself, and presumbly her parents, are far from wealthy. To Hell with the other Cary and the rest of them!

I now see what one reviewer was saying when she said the show was only getting better. I mean, WOW…

I'm only a few minutes into the repeat that FX shows right after, and I had to skip down through the discussion to say this: Lou Solverson waiting on the porch in the freezing cold with a shotgun to protect his granddaughter (and son in law) might be one of the sweeter things I've seen on TV in some time.

Whoa, 654 comments?

I thought I recognized him. I think I need to go back and watch this series from the beginning. Like with a good book, I'll probably pick up more as I rewatch.

Nah, I meant that I want to her to have a long and prosperous career in television (and film, too, I guess). She came out of nowhere to stand toe-to-toe with the pros, and it'd be nice to have her a constant presence on our screens.

I'm totally ready for a show about the Jewish crime syndicate in Minneapolis.

Also, I had a pretty bad car accident in the snow coming back from a vacation during college. I hit another car head on in the snow—not really my fault or anyone's, as I fell asleep/blacked out (not due to booze) and there were accidents all over the road. I had staples in the back of my head that night at the

Was it definitely 48 hours after? I don't recall if they ever mentioned an exact time line.

That makes sense, too.

Yeah. I haven't watched True Detective yet, but from what I understand, the next season won't necessarily be connected to the world of the previous. In fact, it might definitely not be connected. It's more about the concept/structure, I guess.

In another review, someone said that the Coens have a dim view of cops/law enforcement. Is this true?

A few observations/thoughts, even though there are already 400 plus comments:

Are you sure? I'm not a scientist, but they were going into a situation where they saw light. Maybe the winds were still strong enough to have a bunch of fish be swept up from the water and then land.

This sort of thing happens far more than you'd think. I'm not trying to indict all cops here, but read about how heavily armed people bust into a house for one reason or another (usually drugs) and then shoot up everything in site, including passive dogs. It sounds like something you'd see in the movies, but it's

I've seen snow that looks like that. What's the problem?
