FYI, one thing that convinced me this was an excellent show was the interaction between Alicia and WSC when she was being questioned, with Cary in the room. WSC was bringing up her relationship with Will, and Cary realized what she was doing. He whispered to her, "This line of questioning is inappropriate," to which

I am pretty sure the show said that he would run his administration out of Chicago. Given Chris Noth isn't on the show every week, it makes sense to think he's in Springfield part of the time when he's not on screen.

I thought he was in Chicago for some police policy thing when he was first introduced. Maybe he would be there for that while still being not from Cook County, though.

I liked Law & Order. I kind of wish they'd put SVU out to pasture, take a year or two off, and reboot the original. Aside from some weak casting choices and maybe different writers, I think the show's bigger issues were (a) too many ripped from the headlines stories, (b) using a more famous name as the murderer, and

I believe they referred to the firm was Lockhart/Gardener/Caning last night.

I think the last time we saw WSC was an episode that involved the feds, but that was it. I don't recall much about it.

I, for one, think the surveillance thing was brilliant. It made sense that this might happen in real life, because I am sure it does. It was a nice juxtaposition of what we worry about with the federal government doing it, but it was personal, which made it much more appealing. You always want to find out what others

Clark being the show's conscience and being the adult in the room is always welcome, e.g. "I think we should let our guest speak now." LOL

What is it with people on televisions having sex with sheets over them? I'm not expecting to see bare butts or anything, but really, is this a thing I am just not aware of?

Why wouldn't Finn join FA? He wouldn't be a partner, and with Diane's new money, they'd probably be able to afford to hire one more lawyer. Hell, maybe they'd need to do so.

You know what might be fun? Having someone like Castro, who owes the Florricks even less than he does, who is also kind of unknown, win the race. I get Chicago is a machine town, but upsets happen. It'd be nice to see Peter and others react to someone who they have no relationship with.

I thought Zack leaving for college that night—to start his internship or something—rather than the next day, as was planned, as a nice little nod to his mother, via Veronica, who told him about how his mother did it. I thought that's how she took it, anyway.

The thing is, there ARE parents like that. Maybe they are not as extreme as Beverly is on this show, of course, but not all parents are warm and welcoming. Some are distant and cold.

It's not the most daring sitcom in the world, but it is usually pretty funny. I've always preferred NBC's Thursday sitcoms, and I know can watch this show any time I want, so I never feel the urge to watch it regularly now, but I do watch the repeats and enjoy them.

Given that both Amy Sedaris and David Cross were in Dead Boss, the show that Jane K was on before she picked up this role, I would have liked to see NBC pick it up and pair it with this show. Both have original premises—okay, Dead Boss is a remake of a British show, but still.

All of those Emmys probably helped a little, too.

The show was a little more muted at the beginning. It became increasingly absurd as it went on, but that's not a bad thing.

One of the joys of watching 30 Rock is just how quickly the jokes fly. You might actually miss stuff the first few times.

Who didn't like her? From what I remember of Ally McBeal, some of the characters she plays could go way, way over the top, but at least on 30 Rock, things became increasingly ridiculous for a good reason. I got the impression that Jane K is game for anything, which I like, and her ability to properly channel the

Come to think of it, TGS on 30 Rock didn't have a big cast. Perhaps the show could have handled both Jane K and Rachel Dratch, although it would have needed to handle how it presented TGS in a different way.
