Police: “May we search your car?”

I’ve watched that channel and it is informative, but I wouldn't talk or react to the police like some of them do. Remember, they have an absolute, unquestionable license to kill, and some of them are eager to use it.

1. I’m sorry that was happening to you.
2. It happens, happened to a friend of mine, once when I was in the car with him. He was a bit unshaven, and his cars were a bit dirty, and he drove many Volkswagens, so perhaps they were always looking for drugs? This was in Palo Alto, California, and if you’re not familiar

Black and Brown people across the country:

Yup. Just like we have a registry for sex offenders. Constitutional rights offender need to be put on a registry as well.

Been happening for a while. Friends and I got pulled over years (decades) ago because “our license plate light was out.” To which I quickly and stupidly responded “You couldn’t come up with something more original like a dirty windshield or a low tire?” That got us all an immediate Field Sobriety test.

Anyone who speaks up is subjected to even worse treatment than a civilian would receive. You have to be a bad one to survive.

There are NO good cops.

We need a zero tolerance policy.

Producers really are the worst thing to happen to most movies.

So all of these directors who weren’t involved in these movies at all are good to criticize them from the outside but stars and directors who are involved should shut up about it?

I mostly despise this film, but I would watch a spinoff of Rowan Atkinson’s character helping random strangers find love through acts of infuriating fussiness.

Shang-Chi was Simu Liu’s first film... I mean like he owes his current level of fame entirely to the MCU. He’s also actually making a great point about representation (he is a minority).... so shutup?

So you’re saying Dumb and Dumber To almost had a reason to exist...?

This whole “not real cinema/movie stars/etc.” argument is an opinion, usually one based in emotion.

It kind of reminds me of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ films. Christopher Lee was obviously a well-respected actor, and Ian McKellan had a bit of name recognition, but a lot of the other cast were pretty low-key or complete unknowns. Sean Bean and Hugo Weaving were probably the more famous cast members and they weren’t

Also, who actually gives a fuck about how robust the crop of “movie stars” is right now. All that ever meant was seeing the same generic white faces in many movies and those movies, often awful, selling well.

Citation please.

I’ll always have a soft spot for Dan Aykroyd’s increasingly unhinged ideas for Ghostbusters 3, particularly that stretch in the 90s when he wanted to call it “Hellbent!”. Had it actually happened it probably would’ve been awful, but a lot of the ideas are clearly Aykroyd working in a post-Nothing But Trouble vein and
