Ahh yes, get those internet points at the expense of the safety of your child....smh.
Not knowing is the worst part. You don’t know if you’ll be stopped for 10 minutes or 10 hours. Failing to inform the passengers makes everyone’s life miserable.
It looked fine to me. And the pathway is on the tunnel wall side, so it’s not like you’ll get hit by a train going in the other direction. And back in the day it was standard procedure to get zero announcements when trains broke down, so that part was not a surprise.
“But there were no ground handlers available to offload the bags.”

Suggestion:
I hope they look into CPB, but I doubt it will happen. Every Customs station is run like its own little fiefdom and of course they behave like theirs is the only way to do anything and you’re a fool for believing its done differently anywhere else.
That’s the obvious thing(s) to do, but to actually do so requires having humanity. Authoritarianism is much more fun, then you get to club everyone in the head with draconian rules and lord over them laughing maniacally, while your victims groan in pain and agony (and with children screaming), sitting on a cramped…
Fort Lauderdale to Miami is about 30 miles.
I would hope that the fine would be divided amongst the passengers held against their will for the 5 plus hours. That’s probably not going to happen though.
Yep... didn’t share my experience since it’s a sample of one, but my car has been the only new car I’ve ever owned that has yet to go back for repairs in the first 2.5 years. Not just reliable, but absolutely 0 maintenance.
I think aging EVs are going to break in new and excitingly expensive ways. Anybody who thinks mechanics and service departments are going to go out of business is smoking too much legal weed.
I had a Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV and since then have had a Model S, Nissan Leaf (second gen), Kia Soul EV (the 64 kWh version that I don’t think was ever sold in the US, but did make it to Canada), Ioniq 5 (current daily driver) Taycan Turbo and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo (wife’s current daily driver). Once you get used to…
4) Far less complex drivetrain. As EVs age, they’re far less likely to suffer huge issues or maintenance tasks. No blown head gaskets, no timing belt changes, etc. etc. Other than some slightly diminished battery capacity, EVs age a lot more gracefully.
Yeah, in my case, there are four Tesla service centers within 50 miles. If that was not the case, I would be a lot more concerned.
Part of the overall problem with this country telling everyone they can be a college graduate and have a white collar job, and we’ll happily give you a loan to make your dreams happen. Meanwhile the trades are suffering massive shortages in workers.
Same here. I bought a Volvo EV because the dealer is less than 10 miles from my house and has always been good to me.
My wife loves her new ID.4. It’s a very nice vehicle and more luxe than anything I’ve ever purchased before. She’s coming from a 2016 Mazda 6 Grand Touring with almost 200k miles, so there is some new car wow factor. But she really likes how quiet it is, how “zippy” it is. The thing pulls well merging onto the highway…
