Yeah, I'm generally much more interested in their discussion of the older film than the new one.

As a longtime fan from here and The Dissolve, I love everyone on there but I have a minor nitpick - I wish they would just chat and not read anything. The over-organized thoughts, even just to set-up the film in question, doesn't work well on a podcast. I want them to dive right in and discuss.

The best scene ever from Veep. I must have rewatched that about 50 times.

Super stoked for this.

I think they trust Solloway. I mean, before Manchester By the Sea, Transparent was far-and-away the most highly regarded Amazon release, so they rightly credit her for bringing a lot of value to their brand.

It's a great movie, very well made and intense. I remember liking Ils a lot but never saw Martyrs.

Hoarders is worth it for the Trash Witch.

The French horror film Inside left me so nauseous and queasy that it basically ruined my love of gore. I stopped watching really extreme horror films after it.

Katie's story reminded me of how the bass undertone that plays throughout the first 15-20 minutes of Irreversible is supposedly set at a frequency that makes most people nauseous.

I mistakenly watched it the day after having my Quatto removed.

*bows head in eternal shame*

*audience cheers for 3 minutes straight*

I was referring to Tatum, you philistine!

This is correct. Best character in the history of television.

Glad they canceled The Real O'Neals because we all know there's only one "Real O'Neal."

It's not a question, but a statement to be urgently, impatiently stated in the style of Herbert Viola.

Its greatness will be recognized with time.

But Coop and Bob were thin, without the reedy bloat of booze that defines the Bannon look.

He's a bit too into his own stardom, but that's a welcome trade-off for the idea that we even have someone we can call a star scientist in our current intellectual climate.

It had a great pilot/premiere. I loved how they just dove in on the concept without a lot of explaining or backstory. It was just, "this guy has a duffel bag and he's already been using it to time travel". That was really refreshing, especially for a time travel show.
