Part of why I love Don Hertzfeldt's work is that it's "simple" looking but actually complex in terms of layering and movement, as well as being alternately hilarious and emotionally devastating. His films are a good example of how irrelevant the supposed quality of the animation itself is when you have real ideas and

You're thinking of Celebrity Swingers.

I like this new strain of folklorish experimental stuff, because even when they're impenetrable or dull (as has been the case with some of the Ben Rivers films) they still work as mini vacations.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this show so I'm all for something else involving these same characters/actors. They were so much fun to watch that I didn't really care at all about the central mystery.

She's charming as usual in it but I think it's the movie that started Sandler's slide into safe, middlebrow mediocrity. The movies he made before it are much weirder.

Let me know when they do an episode about the LHOTP clown rapist in the woods. Seriously freaked me out as a kid.

She's totally adorable. That reaction when she suddenly realized what was happening made her even more so.

Billy Madison is a surrealist masterpiece. The Wedding Singer is overrated, 80s-loving dreck that has one excellent scene.
