Make America Gelatinous Again!
If you think Vampire's Kiss is a "right kind of terrible" Nicolas Cage movie, you need to see more Nicolas Cage movies.
I was hoping it was Gleek from Superfriends.
That one that also looks like the Patriots logo really brings home the bullying.
Tried to see Ghostbusters but was sold out, so saw Cafe Society instead.
Looks like one of those Tabby Cat cats.
Funny you say that, since It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World was one of the films I was thinking of as overstuffed and bloated. I know a lot of people love it, and it has some great moments, but ii really is for me the shining example of this problem. It's better than the Cannonball Run movies, but not by much.
I can see that, I just think it's generally going for comedy, often very broad comedy, up until that end. Which is not to say that it doesn't have dramatic depth all along, as indicative of Fiennes' richly layered performance.
They are very similar, and I guess it's that I don't think of either as comedies, even if, at a video store, that's the section where they'd likely end up. They play more like dramas with lots of comedic elements to me, but that might just be because the drama stuff hits harder in both for me.
I love The Life Aquatic but not sure it's a straight-up comedy. The comedy in it is fairly inconsistent - it's the emotional heft of Murray's performance that makes it my favorite Wes Anderson film.
This is the End is so overstuffed with comedy talent that going into it, I just assumed it would be a bloated, lopsided mess. Instead, it was hilarious and surprisingly resonant, if in a very low key way.
The major, seriously egregious omission remains:
I think Odenkirk is the equal of Rhys and Owen but otherwise I totally agree with you. I don't watch GOT, so Dinklage or anyone else in place of Holland is not something I can speak to, other than to say Holland was brilliant on The Knick.
"Retiring" is just a marketing ploy, same as reunions.
That movie is so fucking weird that I can imagine it being popular ONLY in Japan.
I can actually see Coneheads being big in China, Nothing But Trouble being big in Japan, and…Neighbors being big in South Korea.
Hello Shirl!
And you could essentially shut down competing offense by playing the Giants and using L.T. on every play, which I don't remember being as easy to do with original Tecmo.
Oh for sure. It's not dull, and a lot has happened, but part of why that show is so unique is that it's mostly made up of calm, quiet, reflective character moments between the occasional "big" scenes that move the plot forward.
