The reason the cameras came into play wasn’t because of blind spots to the side; it was incidents where folks were backing up over kids who were directly behind the car.

I’ve stopped to render aid at rollover accidents where a car got clipped at 65+ mph, spun, and ultimately rolled over 720 degrees on its sides across 4 lanes on an interstate in the Chicago area. Because the occupants were belted in, the driver limped away with a dislocated / broken ankle and the passenger had some

I work in IT; while $200k seems a bit high, it’s not too far of a stretch.

I literally turned to my wife after the end credits rolled and said “I’m not okay.” That one was a gut punch.

I really hope Farquhar makes a full recovery.

Remember that we just had Rep. Steve King go after Emma Gonzalez for essentially not being Latino enough for not speaking Spanish. Nevermind that he and his ilk would attack her for not being American enough if she spoke Spanish in public ever and have pushed for English only education and such.

I drove a V6 Altima a few years back as an insurance rental while my car was being fixed after being backed into.

The irony, of course, being that they cost themselves tens if not thousands of times more by being cheap than by spending money to maintain, patch, and upgrade.

As someone who works in the IT world and has experience with IT security, I’m willing to bet money that Boeing did not patch some systems.

It’s going to be like when they spend millions drug testing welfare recipients; only to find out none of them were on drugs and they gave millions to a politically connected company to drug test folks and saved $0.

For what it’s worth, they no longer require giving breaths as part of CPR; hands-only (compression-only) CPR is acceptable now.

If my math is right, he pulled a 4:12 mile at the end of a half marathon.

Really, it’s not an attack on her heritage, Steve King? When the first FREAKING WORDS of your meme were “When you claim Cuban heritage yet you don’t speak Spanish”?!

Just give us the option for chronological order. Your algorithm for determining what I actually care about is absolutely rubbish.

Donald, that’s not what your advisors meant when they told you the F-35's features were “vaporware”...

I fly to Asia somewhat often because most of my extended family lives there. My family used to fly United there all the time, but their customer service consistently got worse and worse. We now fly Cathay Pacific and EVA exclusively to Asia.

After their engineers (on forums) and own PR team crowed that they weren’t impacted by any of the flaws uncovered, only to later admit “Oops, Spectre does impact our processors after all. Our bad!”

United was already on my “don’t fly unless there really they’re the absolute cheapest / there are no other options” list before Dr. Dao because I’ve not had great flying experiences with them since, at best, the mid-aughts.

My dinette table is made of solid wood pieces. It was less than $500.

First, I’m so sorry this happened to you.
