I purchased the game on sale and I like it but I have yet to figure out how to beat it. How do I use the power-ups that I find? Do they even carry over to my new game when I die or does everything reset? I really like how Metroidy it is but I feel so lost when I play it.

I hate this ice. It ruins drinks because it's so small and they put so much that it becomes mostly ice. Even when I ask for lite ice, the amount they put equates to a regular amount of ice. Don't understand why people like it.
