No, cooking is like a shitty fraternity, young chefs practically feel it's their duty to keep the hazing tradition alive. If anything they're worse than the older ones.

Chefs are the worst. I worked in small highend kitchens as a line cook for years and the amount of verbal abuse I received would shock a lot of people. What’s worse is that I was under payed for my troubles. I’ve literally had silverware thrown at me while on the job and was expected to view that treatment as normal…
