The joke is that True Detective is a miserable, humourless show - not necessarily a bad thing, but a truism. This version, if released officially, would have also made it approximately 149 times more appealing to me.

I also cackled at the requisite pause to look up young John Wayne photos, during which I stopped washing the dishes, wiped my hands clean and frantically Googled. Worth it. I mean, right?
I can't help but think no band that makes this list is ever going to top "Dadfag" for me (I'll top Dadfag myself, thank you very much - heyooooooooooooooooooooo!).
Maybe it's because I'm Australian, but O'Doherty's bit here dropped the episode from an A to a B+ for me. It wasn't actively unfunny, but it was a bit tired, but then I've never really loved her podcast appearances either. I suppose I consider her very gently amusing more than anything.
Hopefully she can be several different guests.
I laughed so hard at this, and then realised that I wasn't 100% sure I knew the reference, so I googled it. I did, thank god.
I've long defended the show as nutty fun even when it's been bad, but this season - particularly after the Cyrus wedding episode - has overcome even me. It's not even insane in a fun way anymore.
Megan Mullally.
Makes sense. Trailers make it look awful, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't testing well.
Look, I was out of high school before I used my butt for sex, but I spent all of my high school years listening to Radiohead and the reason I wasn't using my butt for sex then sure as hell had nothing the fuck to do with listening to music I love. Anyway, I have Radiohead on my phone and if you scroll up a bit you'll…
I don't think Latrice even really bothered to paint herself for this appearance. I got the distinct sense she didn't give a shit.
There were people who didn't like Sharon, and people who didn't like Jinkx. I've met people who didn't like Jujubee, Manila, or Pandora! Some people just have shitty taste.
In Untucked, Max quips "I wasn't aware this was Rupaul's Best Garbage Bag Race" while Ginger and Jaidynn are talking about Ginger's outfit. This stuff is not cute from any angle.
S4 -> S2 -> S3 -> S5 -> S6 -> S1, then catch up on this one.
According to his Twitter, Max did the singing thing on a legit break - it wasn't mid-critique - and Ru asked him to sing something from The Wizard of Oz (he chose A Star is Born instead). I guess I can give him the benefit of the doubt. Pretty shady of the editors though. Kinda glad Max is gone though; I never really…
Ginger did character work? "I'm fat and stupid" isn't particularly difficult to manage. Just a mash-up of Willam's Jessica Simpson and Latrice's Aretha.
Yeah my chief response to that was that her husband has the patience of a saint, and maybe a visual impairment. [fans self]
I mean, it's true what I think Jaidynn says in Untucked though: those looks are part of their drag character, so some consistency between them is to be expected. But some are repetitive where others are creative about it, for sure.
That was ROUGH. Some of that T was hot and some was frosty as hell. Particularly appreciated Pearl clocking Ginger's hypocrisy, even if doing so was a bit hypocritical on her own part (I mean, neither are doing very different things each week for their runway looks).
I did get it from Reddit! It's an interesting theory, and a big part of me wants to see it play out out of curiosity - but for Katya's sake, I'm not sure it'd be a great idea!
