It’s hilarious that Democrats, at the outset, picked a plan whose structure had been proposed by various conservative think tanks and first implemented by a Republican governor specifically for the purpose of soliciting Republican cooperation. It’s also hilarious that Democrats accepted Republican amendments. It’s

I feel like this has always kneecapped the Dems on a number of issues and they need to find a way around it. I know we’re the policy wonks who value the nuance of an issue and the various ins and outs, but they’ve gotta get better at distilling some of this into sound bites. I feel like as soon as half the population

Exactly !

And I am here for adult Roger, too!

Of course Jim Henson never asked him to voice Kermit. He asked his family to let Kermit die with him. And they ignored him. This still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Will NOT BRB as I am joining a nunnery. Fetch me the eye bleach.

The tell for me is how they’ll describe the female main character as “petite” and make a point that under those practical clothes, she has a banging body. And also she is “petite,” which seems to mean both shorter than the author and also thin.

If they’re describing women as 5'10" 120#, that’s a dead giveaway right there.

Yup. Like Ivanka was a wealthy woman when she started this brand, she could have used Union Workers in the US but she didn’t because she does not GIVE A FUCK about women or workers rights. This is her, “I’m going to make myself slightly palatable to more progressive women by using buzz words like “working women” and

I mean, there is a middle ground between a 4000 sq foot McMansion and a 200 sq foot tiny home.

Agreed. I think they pulled her over, ran plates/registration and dispatch was like you guys.... no. not this one.

The currently laughable, unhistorical “History” channel even sent a crew (IDK the crews credentials, TBH they might’ve been archeologists unaware of History’s BS) to excavate outer graveyard grounds on the island.

That’s why actual, real conspiracies take so long to get anything done about them—they’re boring. Who wants to track paper trails and make legally binding arguments when you can rant about a child prostitution ring being run by a national public figure out of a pizza place?

In the history community there’s a pretty widely accepted theory about what happened to Earhart- we don’t have 100% definitive “proof” but when you put all the facts together it makes a lot of sense.

‘The book was published in 1935, two years before Amelia Earhart’s ill-fated plane took off’

The thing is, “dead for 80 years on an island in the Pacific” is still the best-case scenario. She could have gone down in open water almost anywhere and we’d never have even the slightest clue what happened to her. It’s pretty optimistic to think that she made it to an island.

But to search Japanese archives, the filmmakers would have needed a researcher who could read Japanese. How do you expect them to do that?

Wanted to chime in about heels. High heels, or even medium-height ones, especially narrow-toed ones, are ultimately disfiguring and the cause of myriad problems with the foot, ankle, Achilles’ tendon and leg muscles, yet many workplaces require them. My father was a podiatrist and foot surgeon from the 1940's until

As a member of the sex with all the institutional power in our society, why don’t you work on that? Women are not the ones who dictate what constitutes appropriate business attire is for men, that’s other men.
