Yes, getting on a truck to try to sneak into a country where you might have a chance of a better life IS OK. I don’t care about immigration laws, I care about people’s well being. And if they are so destitute and desperate that they’ll get in the back of a sweltering hot tractor trailer to get here I say let them in.

Uh they got on that truck because their lives in Central America suck and coming here was the best shot they had of making a living.

Yes, there are good spray tans. I used to get mine done in one of those instant spray booths at a tanning salon. It always looked natural. At least until it started to flake off after a couple days (it doesn’t just fade, it kinda peels off depending on skin shedding). I stopped when I realized inhaling that shite

LOL.

Uh how am I protecting what is? I’m female and an ardent feminist. I want change, just like you.

Not everyone who smokes is addicted, and those who are addicted DO have control over when/if they decide to quit. Pretending like people have no free will when it comes to smoking is silly.

Smoking is terrible for you true, but even I occasionally enjoy a cigarette here or there. I’ll buy a pack, smoke a couple, give the pack away and not smoke again for six months. It’s bizarre, I know. And I think I’d be pretty bitter if they were banned outright as it’s a small, rare pleasure I enjoy partaking in

Evidence has been found of women hunting alongside men. OK great. This is when you should start asking questions.

That’s interesting considering that even in more modern societies (look at American Indian societies in early colonial America, for example) men would hunt and form war parties while women did not. You can look at all societies across cultures and time periods and see that historically men are, with rare exceptions,

I haven’t seen or read those think pieces. They sound stupid and whiny.

I don’t think you’re an MRA, I just think you’ve focused too much on sociology and not enough on biology. And, being very science minded, I don’t care for people when they attempt to gloss over it if it doesn’t suit their own beliefs or politics.

Society is not some strange construct imposed on us all that completely goes against our innate natures. Societal norms generally mimic biological imperatives, with some rare exceptions.

Thank you, Sheesh. This thread was making me want to bang my head in a wall.

I disagree with you. Men are innately different from women, from a biological standpoint. In most mammals, males are larger, more aggressive, more territorial. Deer, chimps, gorillas, etc. I could name a lot more examples if I gave it thought.

I don’t think that was just white women. I heard a lot of people say how weird those photos were.

Ah, a lawyer. That explains so much. Come out from behind the desk and interact with them outside of a court room on their turf.

I understand your perspective, but it’s not based on a lot of personal interactions with cops like mine, is it?

My thoughts exactly except I saw this as a way to get around the law. Every woman in Arkansas requesting an abortion should just start telling providers that they have unprotected sex with multiple partners and don’t know who the baby’s father is.

I was 21. I’d seen police make things hard on people who refused to cooperate before. I wasn’t about to compromise my admittance to my school or my criminal record. There was nothing in my car that could even remotely be construed as illegal and cops like people who bend to their authority. I think what I did was

Thank you for the compliment, and you’re sadly correct. The field seems to attract a certain type of person, and empathy and introspection are not common traits in said person. Many of the cops I knew were ex-military, many who had seen combat. They were very authoritarian/rigid and often brought untreated PTSD and
