It’s honestly why I liked Wind Waker so much when it came out. It felt like it was veered towards a more interpretive and imaginative art style where things could be played up or down for effect rather than some kind of realism. It’s the last one that truly felt fantastic for me in that way.

And since the games were in pixel/sprite it was fun to see the way an artist thought of the world. Now concept arts are kinda limited by the way the game’s characters and environment will look because well, they are very well detailed in the game.

Agreed! Never liked the blonde pretty boy Link. The games are about a small person going on a grand adventure in the tradition of the Hobbit. Not flashy cool anime whatever.

Sounds similar to how Bungie didn’t want people to consider Destiny an MMO-shooter and instead used all these awkward buzzwords and vague descriptors to try and pique people’s interests in their new endeavour, but ultimately left everyone confused as to what to expect.

It’s a different Link in every game. Link is merely a hero picked by the goddess to be the hero of time, right? Is there any reason the start of the game couldn’t just be the player/goddess picking someone else?

I bet my strategy of grouping all my units into a blob, hitting a and then clicking would beat him. I’m playing the campaign on hard, so I know what I’m talking about.

Looks cool but I read more about it and the levels have arbitrary time limits that take away half your rewards if you take too long, basically screwing you for future levels. Not my cup of tea.
