Yeah, they’re mostly pretty lazily designed, and not very fun after about 20 minutes.

So Patrick, is it kind of the issue that some Legend of Zelda games face?
I played it on PC, so I’m pretty sure it should be Cannon Brawl. Canon Brawl would have significantly more psalms in it.
It’s a really simple comedic gag, and I could pretty easily imagine they independently had the same line of thought.
I assume it worked better when the game wasn’t officially out in as many territories. Once it was officially released on iOS and in way more countries, I suspect server load made it difficult to deal with all those dynamic updates to each client of how close they are second to second to various Pokemon, so it just…
“Lastly, Zenyatta is receiving a big shield buff, projectile speed improvements, and an ult boost.”
Yeah, Phantom Pain is a game full of writing disappointment and story disappointment, but one of the biggest disappointments was definitely how completely bland and whitebread Ocelot is in that game.
Yeah, the comic would be a clever time travel goof except for the part where you barely kill any humans in Chrono Trigger. I almost wonder if that was intentional on the designers’ part, that you primarily fight monsters, whose lineage is less likely to wipe out entire villages worth of people in the future.
Kirby’s Dreamland 2 was actually difficult, right? It wasn’t just because I was a child when I played it?
So personally I already don’t like random game fan theories, because you have to postulate so many half-true things to make them work that you could pick really any position and if you try hard enough you could find something you could construe as in support of your position. It stops being any kind of research into…
Interesting fact: I bought all the seasons of Samurai Jack, and one of them has a special feature video that is, I shit you not, a handful of directors and lead animators and such from the series, just hanging out on one of their back patios in the summer, having some drinks, basically reminiscing about what it was…
Here is how I imagine this kid’s day going:
The adorable part is now that kid’s levels will probably get a lot more plays for at least the next few days. Tristan briefly has that minor Twitch fame! Pretty good for an 8-year-old.
So the overall inclusion of Fire Emblem is pretty light, other than the part where they switched out typical Persona/SMT demon designs with weird demonized versions of Fire Emblem characters?
Lupe’s reaction is pretty great. What a weird, weird setup this is.
In a weird way, I think Schafer adamantly wanting to finish the game only with crowdfunding/Double Fine’s own funds ultimately harmed the finished product. It was a noble goal, but maybe not great for the long term development of the game.
You are correct. They did split the game into two acts, but the acts were never sold separately. They were just released at separate times, but there was never any way to buy the acts individually.
Then like, the 2nd or 3rd time you hit Spare on Toriel, it should noticeably do something.
That boss fight is such bullshit anyways. It’s terrible at making it clear what your options are in the fight.
The best part of Cookie Clicker is once you get to the endgame, you can literally just idle for days and weeks at a time before really feeling like resetting/ascending is worth it.
