I do remember that! But it was sorta goofy, because deep down, I knew those were his casual fishin' village clothes, and not proper adventure clothes. I'd love it if Nintendo were more willing to redesign his adventurin' clothes occasionally.

Power Puff Link is the most baller Link there ever was. One day, you will realize that.

None of your examples are his primary attire for the whole game. The villager outfits in Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword are used rather briefly. The Zora's Tunic and Magic Armor have gameplay purposes and generally aren't on all the time.

I know, right!

I wish they would redesign Link's appearance like, ever. I don't even mean something as drastic as the art style change in Wind Waker. At this point, I would settle for a costume change.

It was announced on a livestream being broadcast from the Gamespot studio, where Jeff was having a sort of chat/interview with a current Gamespot employee. That's a pretty strong affirmation from Gamespot that he is giving the correct chain of events.

"Receiving pressure from publishers", you mean. And just to be clear, that doesn't mean publishers are the bad guys in this, because the management of an editorial website is supposed to resist publisher pressure.

I sorta tuned out Zero Punctuation once he devoted a whole episode to ripping on Left 4 Dead 2 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. He basically could've written the entire video before having played either game, because all he does is complain about them being sequels that still follow the formula of previous games.

It's so weird when I see people like you two and realize I recognize you from this site and also a completely separate one.

I'm fairly certain that Blizzard had little direct involvement in SC N64 or the PS1 port of Diablo. They just handed the game code to other devs, and those devs attempted to make it work on the console.

DDR was still popular 2-3 years ago? That's...generous of you to say.

This is the greatest dialogue I've ever heard.

Now playing

Well, I'm already glad I heard Storm Eagle at 2:40.

He's still in NYC, and will continue to do news and reviews for Giant Bomb, as something of an "East Coast Correspondent".

Torchlight II seems like it's going to be DOA if it releases after Diablo III. I mean, the only people I know who bought Torchlight were Diablo II fanatics who were in desperate need of a fix, and had already gotten bored of Titan Quest.

You should be fine, even if you didn't play D1 and D2. There's a story, but if you actually genuinely pay attention to the lore/mythology of the world, you're in the vast minority of the playerbase. Most people are in it for the speccing out your character/grinding for colour-coded loot; Diablo 2 was very influential

GAF, the asshole of the internet? It's pretty well respected, at least relative to 4chan, SomethingAwful, Reddit, and most other places I can think of.

Not just any mother. THE Mother.

I wouldn't call it a bad game either. It's...fine. Underwhelming. Slightly below average.

I find the first two paragraphs hard to understand. I'm no editor, but I feel like the entire first two paragraphs could be scrapped in favour of something more straightforward.
