Yep! My old bos comped $100 of a check once, and let me keep it as a 'tip' when I got stiffed on a $500 tab one night. The guest had asked to see the GM and the Chef to hug all three of us and tell us how amazing the night had been, that they would tell all their friends and would DEFINITELY be back the next time they

Real talk: I had a step-relative in small-town Arkansas who showed me pictures she took in class. They had put on some kind of skit where they were all characters from The Voice. And this relative was...Cee Lo Green. I looked at the pictures, and my mouth fell open. She was in full blackface. I asked if her teacher

Keep in mind that a majority of wedding costs go to small businesses and artists, bakeries, photographers, caterers, seamstresses (sometimes)... Yes it's a lot of money but it's not like they're lighting cigars off of burning hundos.

A more nuanced version of her argument would also include something saying that the employer is obligated to adjust any wages up to the minimum hourly if the server's combined tips don't reach it. To which anyone who's worked in food service at all can just laugh, and laugh, and laugh.

As though Mark Zuckerberg is obliged to tip you more than I am even if we receive the same service:...

Even easier than that: download a free tipping app on to your phone. This is 2015, we have the technology.

The art of tipping is, for most people, really freaking annoying. How much is too much? How much is too little? Is this the only reason I had to learn how to calculate percentages in 5th grade?

John and Abigail Adams were abolitionists.

I think you mean another word - not Huguenot. They came along 400 years after Eleanor died.

I hate to bring this up here, but most of the people whom I know who are not vaccinating are not making that choice to avoid autism. Most of them agree that vaccination doesn't cause autism.

Heck some of my friends who don't vaccinate have autistic children — so they are quite clear in this process.

They choose not to

I'm sorry for your loss in the miscarriage. It's really heartbreaking when that happens.

Also, yay! for special education teachers!

My child shall only feed on pure energy.

Chemicals...

From my understanding it really depends on how much the parents are paying attention. Typically a vegan diet wouldn't have enough nutrients but I'm sure you can make up those vitamins and such other ways? I would want to talk to a pediatrician before I did anything like that.

I'm confused about why it's called bone broth. I have been making broth with discarded chicken bits for...ever. Now it's suddenly this magical "bone broth".

As the owner of a toddler, I could not fathom what I would do if I decided that he could not eat cheese. Cheese is pretty much his favorite food. That said, he hates meat. Maybe it's a toddler thing.

"too many chemicals,"

FUCKING BONE BROTH AGAIN?!

Related to this, my friend (toddler owning) and I (not toddler owning) were discussing baby diets yesterday. Her child is peckish and hates meat, but is absolutely not vegan. Child is a cheese monger.
