When you make it by using heat, you have the opportunity to super-saturate the water, which is the goal. That’s why they call it syrup and not just sugar water.

Title: “... Less than a minute”
Picking corn when I was little (before microwave ovens), the farmer told us that he didn’t cook it, just ate it at room temperature brushed with melted butter. I still prefer it that way.
I have no idea what white people talk about when Black people are not around.
Who.
Exactly. If you need a car, it most likely makes sense to just buy your own lease out, hold it a year and then buy something else, if you want something else. Otherwise, when the market corrects itself in a year, you’ll be way upside down on the adjusted value, even at super low interest.
Pockets, vents and pleats are sewn shut before shipping in order for the garment to better retain its shape during shipping and while on the sales floor. It’s not a phenomenon, it’s practical. It’s called a basting stitch and it’s meant to be 100% temporary, that’s why it’s such a long, loose stitch.
CAUTION! If the oil is too hot, it can cause the glass to shatter! I know someone this happened to and she got grease burns along with a huge mess of greasy, broken glass to clean up!
yup. pickle jars for me are the best oil disposal solution.
Another option I’ve used in a pinch--and I don’t recall where I first saw this idea--is to use a piece of foil over the garbage disposal to make a bowl, pour the oil into that, let it cool (or not, I'm not gonna tell anyone how to live their life), and throw it away.
I understand that this is dirtbag, so the flippant tone is expected, but it seems oddly callous and weird to me that you’re treating a situation involving alleged guardianship abuse as a sibling rivalry. If Britney Spears’ testimony is anything to go by, she holds her entire family responsible for the abuse she has…
I mean, why would we want to watch an episode about a totally normal human when we’re supposed to be watching vampires?
My single favorite bit from the entire movie is when Elle meets Warner at Harvard for the first time. He’s shocked to see her and tries to imagine a reason for her to be there other than that she’s a student. Finally, he’s forced to ask, “You got in?” Elle responds with an amazingly flippant, “What... like, it’s…
I don’t know why I even come here anymore.
I know it’s apocryphal, but, it was about the Mexican American War and Texas!
Karen Gillan Should be in More Things.
No. The problem was that when the black student voiced his discomfort with both the selection and listening to his white classmates all say the n-word over and over again the teacher stood her ground.
Yes! I wish Kinja would add a block feature because there are people on here I would prefer to block rather than just flag (which does no good) but also for the spam followers. I have about 5 of them (and that’s a lot for me, because I don’t have a lot of followers.) I would love to block them.
So keeping this in mind:
Just curious, when you’re through using your plates, bowls, and silverware, do you just rinse them off and put them back in the cupboard or drawer, or do you wash them with soap?
