It’s not unusual for the top four or five comments to be from this tiresome pack of dudes who seem to think their banal opinions are absolutely indispensable.

And, as ever, the top two comments are from men who comment early and on absolutely everything.

Roiphe’s career has always been scolding feminists for doing anything. In 1994 she wrote “The Morning After,” about sexual harassment and rape on campus. It was about how women one college campuses were making victims of themselves, creating an atmosphere of fear, and shouldn’t be asking the government for social

I loved this. It was so random and so Tyra. After unnecessarily creating a scenario where she gets to play the thoughtful benefactor (when she could have just allowed 15 finalists from the beginning) she still had to find a way to insert her own wacky self-mythologizing into Erin’s emotional moment:

I like that she’s wearing the same swimsuit in both pictures.

If that’s the case there’s a difference between the ability to give birth naturally vs. choosing not to have a child out of concern for a genetic disorder.

Literally every celebrity uses ghostwriters to write their books. It’s only noteworthy when they don’t.

Tucker Max is gross and horrible but I’m not going to fault Tiffany Haddish for working with someone who has sold books to get her memoir published. The publishing industry is not known for publishing or promoting works by writers of color, it is way way more difficult for a person of color to get their work published

That Roscoe story makes me pretty uncomfortable no matter who is telling it! It seems like they play up his disability for humor, but then waaaay downplay it when you get to parts that could make what Haddish did unquestionably inappropriate or even criminal, depending on his disability. I do sexuality assessments for

“I didn’t live her life and I’m not a black woman—although wouldn’t that be amazing”

He’s just another book-packager. I don’t know that $15k is that outside the norm.

Max claimed to be baffled about why his involvement with the book might be surprising or controversial.

Nice how he brings his point home by calling her a twat, right?

Thank you, Andrew Cuomo

Yeah, what’s with all the nuance in this article? That’s not what I visit Jezebel for!

Surely the perfume is not $1/bottle

I have never heard of any of these people. Maybe you logged on to the twinternet by accident? Try turning your computer off and then turn it back on again.

I can appreciate the desire to shit on a likely rapist, but making those critiques about appearance are unhelpful at best, extremely harmful at worst.
