Proof that they should have kept the internet name for that research vessel: No one would have ever made much note of this submersible’s mission if it wasn’t for it’s name. The attention the vessel receives from the stupid name and trolling backstory is valuable.

Let me start off with - I hate Bestbuy.

The transit buses have automatic transmissions - usually an Allison B400r or a Voith. The electronic shifters don’t allow you to leave them in gear.

Buses (and most commercial vehicles) don’t have “park” - the transmission only has neutral, and the driver needs to set a parking brake.

I agree this seems a bit weak, I did almost the same thing as you... 16 and stupid driving fast in a ... ‘89 Saab 900s... Bottomed out the suspension, exhaust, and my but through the seat cushion... But other than some scraping on the undercarriage it survived no worse for the wear.
