Depends on what sort of “sparrow” you’re referring to. The most common Song Sparrow does have chest markings like this, BUT this bird lacks the Song Sparrow’s strong facial markings. House Sparrows have plain chests, so this birds chest markings look nothing like a female (house) sparrow.
