The story about kids not wanting to select the guy who did gay showtunes is a good example - they explained to her that they didn’t want to bring in anyone who reinforces negative stereotypes.

I’m sure no one would object if Kennedy was a no-show.
You should read Gosar’s tweets and contrast them to what the author says (or implies) he tweeted and you’ll see the two aren’t quite consistent.
I think that the trend is that “safe spaces” are getting bigger and bigger. I haven’t been on campus in 40 years and we didn’t have any safe spaces then so my knowledge is based on things like this:
I think that they do end up playing different gigs. I think Rock flat-out dropped all college gigs. But this type of complaint - to me - is a legitimate case of PC run amok:
I can’t say because I’ve never, in my life, been to a comedy show on campus. This article details it pretty well though and I, generally, consider The Atlantic to be a good source for information.
I, generally, think that is contrary to the “Anonymous” part of 12 step groups. They do not let anyone off the street just walk in although they do have so-called “open meetings” on occasion.
It’s not the GOP that’s driving tuition costs up. Most professors tend to be on the liberal side. If they didn’t have to drive a Benz and live in a McMansion, your son’s tuition wouldn’t be so high.
Chappelle has, among others, complained about it being next to impossible to do a show on campus because of all the PC-ness.
I was late to the show but offered a mild defense in favor of the persecuted comedians.

I don’t know if this is correct, but I think that a “safe space” is often construed to be a place where lots of people are - such as a classroom where other students are present.
I think the complaint is that people have taken that too far, particularly on college campuses. Lots of comedians - Seinfeld, Rock, Maher - say that they hate doing shows on campus because you can’t joke about anything without people going nuts.
It used to be on cable quite a bit as well. It’s not anymore so there must be some dispute over who has the rights to it.
Why? Isn’t Equal Protection implicated if a state imposes restrictions on voting that go beyond what the US Constitution allows?
As reported Tuesday by the Huffington Post, six Republican secretaries of state filed a joint amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court in support of Pennsylvania’s appeal, asking the high court to review the state court ruling.
Lucky for the human race you don’t have children. Please keep it that way.

If this is all about PA’s constitution, what are the GOP Secs. of State doing petitioning SCOTUS to do something?
Why not send him to a private school instead?
