I know. You’ve (wrongly) said it about five times now. It’s like you’re someone that’s been waiting tables all your life or something!

You obviously have a hard time with metaphors so I’ll spell it out.

Or can’t understand the analogy. I don’t know what you’re problem is beyond you don’t understand the analogy.

So if the food was shitty all the time you’re saying you made the same in tips?

You’re assuming that demand will go up by one plate an hour.

Nope, sure haven’t, big pal!

Oh, so now you’re dropping the pretense that you know advanced economics and going straight for the emotions, eh?

Serving is easier than cooking and any idiot can put a plate filled with food on a table.

Are you saying that the labor market, in any industry, isn’t explained by economics?

If the first line is asinine, the rest isn’t likely to be any better.

Hey! Good news there too! The Estate Tax is ALSO pretty much going away!

Aren’t most waiters actors-in-training? They should look at it as a chance to put their “skills” on display.

So do Mormons on a regular basis. Look at the House of Saud, Iran, Lebanon, etc. Their whole countries are run by religious whack jobs.

For wait staff? Yes. It’s not like they’re fucking pediatric neurosurgeons. There have been occasional shortages of chefs but any idiot can be a waiter.

No, taxes are paid with my income, not the other way around.

You know why the tipped minimum wage system still exists? Because there are plenty of people willing to work in that system. As you mention, it hasn’t caused an exodus of employees.

You try reading it and then try explaining what economic incentive exists for owners to steal wait staff’s tips. I’ll wait.

Sounds like you need to find a new line of work then.

I don’t need to be an astronaut to know the dark side of the moon is cold and I don’t need to work in a restaurant to understand basic economics.

And the server’s wage is supplemented, by choice, with tips and his/her wage is not what you listed as a result.
