Let me guess: Bernie’s going to give Puerto Ricans everything for free, right? Isn’t that Bernie’s usual schtick?

They haven’t voted for this one yet. There’s plenty of hope. I don’t care what McConnell says and I sure as Hell don’t trust him. Until the vote happens, you’ve got hope.

What Flake really got from the GOP leadership was cover to say that he voted for the tax plan in the name of DACA recipients.

When I first glanced at this headline I thought that it said Selena Gomez blew Woody Allen. The story turned out to be extremely disappointing.

At least Cotton’s out of the Senate. I’ll take that.

You use your program to push liberal policies and, voila, you get favorable press from the liberal media!

For Moore’s base, attacking any Hollywood celebrity will go over well. That’s why they do it.

I don’t get that point of view. I think this whole thing has been a complete debacle from the beginning. I’m still convinced that Kaep’s initial refusal to stand for the Anthem was just a decision he made on his own and he had no intention of starting this whole thing. Then it blew up and became an issue and went

LOL - you, Sir, are an excellent troll! Look at how riled up you got these people! Thanks for making my Friday morning.

Doesn’t mean he’s not right about the right using the acquittal for political gain. They will. It will obviously fuel the base (as so many things do) but this one even makes me wonder. I agree that his prior criminal history shouldn’t come to a jury, but IF he had seven felonies he should be deported.

I think that many in the US have disliked, if not outright hated, Muslims way before Trump. Trump just made it “OK” to come out in the open about it, at least in some crowds.

You make a good point, but I’m always surprised that Muslims get so much support here. They make their women cover themselves, in Saudi Arabia (and maybe elsehwere) they wouldn’t let them drive, and they generally seem to treat women like absolute shit but seem to get an absolute free pass on these issues from many.

Respectfully disagree. Bush/Cheney are worse than Nixon, Reagan and certainly Trump. Trump’s not had time to really work up to being totally evil. He’s got light-years to go before he comes close to Bush/Cheney.

Her claim is distinct from the claim of the deceased’s estate’s for his death.

I don’t think any jury would give her $1M. I agree with the other guy; take it to trial.

It’s a different entity, but I think it’s one of NPR’s “Member Stations” and probably runs All Things Considered, etc. They’re “affiliated” but you’re right that the legal problems of one would not necessarily carry over to the other.

When the Air Force jets fly overhead, they want them to drop bombs on police stations.

Also, maybe those two want to see Colin K. play again before discussing donations and such? .... If others are not down with that, then maybe that’s why they’re walking.

The ruling is actually not a final one. It was just made in connection with someone sought a temporary injunction. So they’ll still have a chance to try again after they do discovery.
