You should look at the first “assault weapons ban” that was enacted and didn’t work. Gun control people have never heard the end of that.

You can look up the Heller decision yourself if you want to see if you can “ban guns” or not.
LOL - I took it from the article that it was the actual homeowners hiring the private firefighters, not insurers. But you make a good point: Why don’t insurers hire them directly to avoid paying out damages?
Knock yourself out. You can try and pass whatever laws you want. D.C. tried that already, in Heller, and lost.
But take your own examples there. No one says “ban all vehicles” or “ban all materials that can be used to make a bomb.” In those instances, people recognize that it could not be done even if you wanted to do that.
This article, which is currently linked in another article appearing on this very site, disagrees with your fake numbers.
Sorta. The Pediatrics Journal article actually breaks down the reasons for the shootings on p. 7, but I’m sure no one will bother to actually make it that far.
If we take your“thought experiment” and analyze it based on actual events, my guess would be that these people presently committing mass murder using firearms would, more than likely, use bombs or vehicles to do the exact same thing.
That is very true, but if you look at p. 7 of the Pediatrics Journal that this article relies on you’ll see that’s not exactly what it deals with. Dealing with those issues is likely to produce more benefit than anything else.
This hillbilly would love to be educated by such an obviously bright boy like yourself. What’s the difference between an “assault weapon” and a “semi-automatic weapon”?
I’m sure that name-calling and ignoring opinions you don’t like is what lets you manage to get through every other day, so I don’t expect this particular one to be any different for you.
If you read one paragraph into that article, it plainly states that two of the closed clinics opened over six months ago. More have opened since. Here’s why:
A question to ask is why are mass shootings like this one increasing in frequency? Focus on why these are happening and you may be able to address a problem.
One of the takeaways from that Pediatrics study is the great leap in firearm injuries in the 13 - 17 year old group as opposed to the 0 - 12 year old group?
Yeah, and then Texas’s requirement that abortion clinics have surgical center standards was overturned by SCOTUS, wasn’t it?
Really? I can buy fireworks year round. Are they not explosive devices?
Well then please educate this hillbilly with your obvious knowledge of the subject matter. What distinguishes an “assault weapon” from a “semi-automatic weapon.”
That’s exactly right. And just as abortion will only be banned via passing a Constitutional Amendment, the right of private citizens to bear arms will only be taken away by repealing the 2A.
There is no reason to believe he had interest in shooting anyone else.
As long as you don’t use them, you can probably store as many as you want in your home. You’ve probably got plenty of ingredients in your home right now to build a bomb with enough power to blow a tread off a tank.
