Fuck yeah. I’m a big fan of the AWK, so I’m a bit of an easy touch for his music, but I’m still glad to hear the record delivers.

Yes, it’s actually really good, especially if you’re into bands like Snapecase, Helmet, or Prong. I’m kind of surprised it’d garner a bad review, but then again this is Pitchfork we’re talking about, a website so up its own ass that their reviews have decimals.

Got a full plate: The new Turnstile album, the new Screaming Females album, the new Janelle Monáe tracks, the new Titus Andronicus and Monster Magnet singles, and to top it all off I just got turned on to Dream Wife (recommend for fans of Elastica, Lush and the like).

Heh. If only. Alas he worked at a regular old dude prison.

I got my pre-order if the new Screaming Females album a little early and I can tell y’all, it does indeed rock. It’s a little more spritely and light-footed than Rose Mountain. It’s still a hard rocking Screaming Females album, but it comes off as them cutting loose and having fun after Rose Mountain’s soul-searching…

Fuck yeah. Between that and the new Screaming Females, my weekend is packed.
