"It's a good thing he doesn't have school or hormones to deal with…"

If the prop-plane thing bothers you: Head canon it to "Andy flies them to an international airport where he knows some people who can 'make things happen.' "

*Brainsplosion*

Is there anyone in the comments section who is going to act like they didn't watch the leaks? Pretty sure we all caved because it was that or have it spoiled on Facebook/Twitter/social media of your choice.

100% disagree on Inherent Vice. I found that it perfectly captured the tone of the book and was quite touching in its own way, playing up the love lost/love restored angle. Truth be told, I prefer the film to the book and I like the book.

Listened to a bit of her. Not bad, but not exactly my thing. To the people whose thing it is: Is there any other flavor of sophitsto-pop these days that doesn't have the whole "brittle, cold and chimey" vibe? I get that Austra is electropop here, so that's in-line with the style, but still. A lot of what I hear right

Oh yeah. The number starts shooting up when you consider that ISIS's existence is a direct result of the Iraq War. Thanks for the gift that keeps on giving, George!

Urban Outfitters in aural form: BOOM! Nailed it!

I know this: When I smell mesquite barbecue, I know all is right with the world.

Like you, I'm a littleness kinder in retrospect to the average citizen, but not the administration. The estimated half million dead Iraqis keep me from being very charitable.

Naw, man. That was when PTA started hit his stride.

CODE CITRUS! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!

Meanwhile we get Fitz and the Tantrums one big hit for the millionth time and a bunch of recent weak-ass, white people, wannabe soul-music where every single song is built around the same "bass drum *CLAP* bass drum *CLAP* bass drum *CLAP*" rhythm.

L.A. new rock radio doesn't dare play that kind of music. But I wouldn't call it better, just a different kind of bad. Oh, I'm sure a lot of respectable people would consider what we have "better," but damn is it boring. You can go a half an hour without hearing a prominent guitar. In fact, the new rock stations in

I take it that people in emergency preparedness didn't take the system all that seriously then. Everyone I knew sure didn't (then again, I spent to first half of the 2000's living in a super-liberal college town, so we were not disposed to believing much of what came out of the Bush administration).

In an era of cynicism and stupidity, the color code system was the perfect encapsulation of both qualities.

Just curious: What part of the country do you live in? I ask because I've noticed that rock radio is pretty bifurcated with coastal, urban markets (such as L.A., where I live) not touching the sort of bands you're describing, instead playing "mature" sounding indie-pop and festival alternative.

I'd add Bad Religion's album "The Empire Strikes First" to this list. It was a great album that saw an always political band just plain spitting fire. It's very well constructed and their sound was in a late career peak. Arguably their best album of the 2000's (though the "The Process of Belief" is a strong contender)

It's kind of funny. While I didn't have anything against AFI back then ( I thought "Girl's Not Grey" was a good, catchy radio song), on a whole I was not a fan of that post-hardcore/melodic-punk/whatever-you-want-to-call-it that was Emo (Coheed & Cambria excepted, because they were really prog-rock anyways). I was a

I'll be honest: I didn't even realize that the stage area was a set. I figured that part was actually some dank old venue they'd gussied up with graffiti and flyers. That's indeed some solid production design.
