Sadly, our gov’t has and continues to utterly fail our indigenous people. If she had been white, she would either be still alive or at least her killer would be in jail. We desperately need a 100% change in how our RCMP, our social services, and our fellow Canadians perceive and treat our indigenous people.

My reservation has stories about girls murdered and the killer is never found. One of my cousin’s wife went to take care of her sister’s body a few weeks ago. They found her about six months ago but they didn’t identify her until a few weeks ago. They have no idea what killed her.
