For about 4 years I had both my 2000 Celica GT-S (N/A engine) and my turbo GTI. The Celica would get 30 to 33 MPG no matter how I drove. Rev’d out to 7,800 on each shift or short-shifting 1-2-6, always the same. The GTI will go from 22 MPG on spirited mountain road runs all the way to 38 MPG for for 63 MPH cruise

Hmm, I said 100%, as in all the time, not 2 laps.

The ability to push more sounds good, but the risk of being so durable that you can drive 100% Push is bad, because then where is the difference? Also, the multi-stop races have proven to be way more exciting than 1-stoppers, so when I hear “more 1-stoppers”, I cringe. I guess the idea is to make the on-track passing

Yours is probably an unpopular take, but I would agree accurate. I graduated with debt of about 80% of my starting salary in 2000. I’d love to see more metrics relating that and not the nebulous “tens of thousands” of dollars. I’m a liberal Dem in the critical purple state of PA, and forgiveness of debts is not at all

What could go wrong?

I’d say he got his money’s worth! One day in 2008 my wife was sitting at an intersection and the car stopped and every light came on. It finally restarted. I told her drive to the nearest Autozone and get the codes reset, then I’ll meet you at Carmax. We then took their $1200 offer to a Honda dealer who gave us $1,500

My wife had a 2002 Jetta and when the transmission went it would not go into reverse, so I’d imagine the opposite can be true.  She had to be careful to never get into a situation where she had to back up for about a month until we found a fix (replacement used transmission).

Right, and per the report he even asked to be killed now and the cop couldn’t do him that solid! Eric Garner and George Floyd didn’t even have to ask. I really do hope that, like he says, it’s over man.  Over in every possible way for this d-bag.

High school cross country practice in 1993 we were crossing a road between a line of cars stopped at a light. One kid stepped out and got sideswiped by a car passing the line to get up to the left turn lane. Spun him around and laid him out. He then ran the rest of the practice with us. Next day was in a cast up to

Maybe you sympathize with him, I never said I did. I can still like a movie with flawed characters...that’s kind of the point of movies. Even the hero Han Solo straight-up executed Greedo.

I drive by there every day to and from work, now I have to stop in and peek at the window stickers. They always have a full lot when others in Carlisle seem far more empty. At these prices, I guess I can see why. Still, now I am curious.  I’d say they’ve been there 4 years now?  I can remember when they opened.

Season 4 January 21!

For some people, the wait is hours, especially in presidential elections. And especially where poling places are reduced in number, which the stats show is mostly in poor communities. And if you have kids to drop off at school or daycare, and if your McJob does not have vacation time, or maybe you get 5 days a year,

Classic movie.

People can also bring you water and snacks while you’re waiting on your gun.

I think this was (I hope) more of a sarcastic response to the string of cases where everybody with a handgun seems to feel threatened at all times, and the courts seem to be saying “Yeah, makes total sense” despite all logic and reason.  2A is becoming a license to kill, just have to say you felt threatened is all it

America, baby.

Exactly the correct take. People are risking their lives to save yours, have some fucking respect for that and be focused and ready for anything. Good hearted bystanders are not your on-call first responders.

That is what I meant by a gun to his head, being forced to say something he does not believe. And I’m not sure Euro racists have much on my fellow Americans from what I’ve seen the past, oh, 6 years.

I agree. I mean, racing in despot nations is not the best, and if that is one’s line in the sand, then yeah, its reputation my be in the crapper for that person. Of course F1 raced in SA in the 70's and 80's, too, so some things don’t seem to change.
