I have a 2016, and whatever tires came with it when new, they were terrible. I now run AS3+ on my stock wheels in the winter and PS4S on other wheels for summer. I love the way the PS4S’ feel when I put them on each spring. Turn-in is so much crisper and they corner like crazy. I use them for 2 to 3 Track Night in

Torch’s excellent book actually has a chapter that discusses this, in the context of how does an autonomous car just take you for a Sunday drive to nowhere.

Also an apt line for Autopilot. Uncertain what it’s really going to do...and then it ends your life into the back of a parked fire truck.

They said there was gravel, duh. /s.  Not paying attention at all is my guess, and if this is the consequence of failure at a pedestrian 37 feet/sec, I shudder at what 100 fps would be.  Sounds like a $2,713 (plus repairs) stupid lesson learned to me.

Do tell, I live in central PA and pay about $650/yr on a (pre-runup) $200,000 house with the best coverage I can get. About what is Florida Man paying? Legit curious here. You too Oklahoma wind guy.

In his defense, it may hold its value after 8 years...

Haha, if you see my post, I got 10.8% on my Celica, but at least it was a GT-S!

My friend’s family in high school had a Sable wagon (early 90's) and I remember a 4-day multi-state college tour with SIX people in that thing and a clam shell on the roof! Whenever I see one today I think 1) wow, that car is small, and 2) it has aged well. Always a soft spot for the Sable wagon.

My first (new) car was fresh out of grad school in 2000, a 2000 Celica GT-S. Had always wanted an Intergra GSR but the brand new Celica was way better (I actually almost bought an Integra Type R but they only had yellow. If only...). Anyway, I’m not sure I realized “negotiating” was a thing back then. I paid what

I went to a Catholic high school, graduated in 1994. My AP European history teacher showed us Blazing Saddles in class, as it was his favorite movie. He was a creative and passionate teacher, the likes of which unfortunately often get crushed today.

I can confirm that yes, yes it is.  Filibuster.

The Phoebus Cartel. NPR’s Planet Money has a good episode on this. Basically the original planned obsolescence.

Oh man, my neighbor had a 2005 the exact same color and style as the photo in this article, even with the cab. I say had because 2 weeks ago at 2AM we heard a heard crash outside our house, and a drunk in a Fusion had slammed right into the back of it (street parked in front of his house). Pushed the truck about 30'

I’m not sure why the fact that his rocket looks exactly like a giant penis has not been discussed more.

My wife had this on her VW Sportwagen when we lived in VA, and it now lives in our garage.  It’s an homage to Always Sunny.  Funny thing is, she got it in the fall of 2012 and soon after had a knee surgery, meaning she was parking in handicap spaces for a few weeks as she got out, then grabbed her crutches, and walked

This is feeling like they need to just Dieselgate this car and buy it back. If I relied on a Bolt for daily transport, I’d be pissed. My friend has one (and a Mazda 3) but lives in the woods. If his 2-car garage goes up in flames, a fire company is never gonna get there. He’ll need to park this thing off on the back

I was thinking the same. I deal with aviation fuel deliveries sometimes and the trucks are normally 8,000 to 8,400 gallons. 14,000 sounds way high, but who knows, maybe there are special trucks for it?

Same thing happened in Harrisburg, PA a few years ago on the overpass from I-81 north to Route 322 North, which is the main route to Penn State. Closed the overpass for at least a year and the detouring of traffic - especially on a game weekend - was a nightmare.

Hmm, driver veered straight through a curve with no signs of correcting it or braking...I hope this driver gets Tiger Woods’ cops on the investigation.  Nothing to see here!

Ha, I’m red/green too and always have to ask my wife in a mini-panic as I furiously scan for a stop sign I might be missing!
