Seriously, hopefully Erik’s grandfather never does shit for him.  What a pathetic attitude.

I just spent 30 minutes on that thread and got maybe 30% of the way through. I concur, amazing.

I certainly see that side of it, and I guess the legislation was not tied to revenues, just keeping people on the payroll. So the PPP money essentially becomes bonus money for many firms who revenue is stable, not likely the intent, and I have not heard of any claw-back provisions relating to it.

This is an interesting point. If your expenses are $100/month and your current revenue is stable at $110/month (#evilprofit) so you are covering expenses. Assume your payroll is $70, could you still get a loan for say, $35? So while you did not need it, you commit to keeping your workforce at 90%, because you were

It’s not the big 14 mile track, just the dedicated race circuit.

Wow, I don’t think I’ve seen this point before.  So Hami’s 7 will have an *?

We went to the 2015 Montreal GP and the locals were world class friendly! Throw in the amazing weather and daylight in mid-June, plus a beautiful, diverse, and very affordable city, and a venue you can (must) easily take the metro to, and I think this race should be on everyone’s calendar.

Underrated movie right there.

Agreed, props to the CEO. It might not be “best” for their stock price, but it is best for the employees to hear an honest assessment of where they are, as a good challenge will motivate the best employees to really give their best to close that gap.  And actually closing that gap will be way better for the stock

There is a massive difference between running a single plate for cause, and an automated information-collection system capturing behavior of the entire public for ulterior means. And it’s pretty clear that police cannot be trusted with unchecked power or even be held accountable when they abuse it, thanks to unions

This is some Zapruder-level investigation here.

Scans plate, sees menial offence, notes race of the driver. Data says cops are more likely to stop minorities and the LPR just gave them the in to do so.

Get out of here with that reasonable, nuanced take, and get IN here with some photos of that orange Exige.

Oh yes, a constant surveillance society has all sorts of benefits! Don’t worry, the State won’t be using its intimate knowledge of your movements for nefarious purposes, you keep on believing it. At a minimum they’re already selling that Big Data to someone and you are getting nothing for it. Carvana - just enter your

So Travel Assist requires you to do all the same things you already do while driving, but only requires minimal hand pressure on the wheel?  That is awesome, because if it’s one thing that makes my long highway miles a grind, it’s the excessive hand pressure I am required to apply to the wheel of my non-Travel

Cold blooded.

Third grade Gap year?

It’s a Jeep? Ok.

I did my part. Bought a 2009 Fit Sport manual new in 2008. Had to sell it in 2012 due a some knee surgeries for my wife and needed an automatic, so replaced it with...a new diesel wagon! And then sold that back in 2018, thanks VW! I do drive a manual GTI though, so still fighting the good fight.

My GTI has a Carnet button in the headliner. I’ve never even thought twice about finding out what it does.  Don’t care, and never will.
