Just thought of an alternate ending. Dear Marjorie begged her husband to take their son's dead body to Dr. Frankenstein to be brought back to life. Even though he clearly refused, the alternate ending would show The Creature/Clare, digging up Vanessa from her grave and carrying her off.

Maybe Miss Ives will be resurrected as a robot on Westworld.

Spot on.

Begging for her own death was against who she has been during the show. Giving up, succumbing to pressure, was not her style. Vanessa Ives would never have given up. Look at how she survived the torture of the mental institutions she was in. Never gave up. You would have thought she would have even found strength in

Unfortunately, her movies don't do well.

And what was the point in dragging her into all this? Never found out who she was and her relevance to the situation. Maybe she and Lyle could get together.

Bingo, my sentiments exactly. This season now seems like a hot mess, it couldn't decide what direction it should have taken. All that time with Ethan trekking to see his father? Did the actors not get along? Why were they separated like this throughout the season?

Why was it necessary for the actors to be separated all season? Dalton and Green had no scenes together, Green and Hartnett had one dream scene and the ending scene. Things were compartmentalized.

Vanessa was an incredibly fierce character. I just think her asking to have her life ended, especially when her true love, Ethan, appears in time to save her is just plain wrong. There are so many other ways this could have turned out. Ethan could have killed Dracula, ending his hold on Vanessa and they could have

What about Dr. Seward's comment that New Yorkers were always ready for a fight, and when asked about Dracula, she said F him?

You're so right. Reading these comments has been another layer of enjoyment. Loved reading other's insights. What will we watch now?

So Vanessa and Ethan were apart all season. He crosses the Atlantic to spend a few minutes with her, then gets to kill her? Just disappointing.

Also disagree. There were other veins to explore. If Dracula was killed, one of Vanessa's suitors/tormentors would have been gone. The crux of the show didn't have to put Vanessa as always being the damsel in distress. In the first season, for example, she was one of the group trying to save Minna. This show could

I am going to be using your word creation a lot today. Here's the first time, I am sooo pisappointed this show is over.

Just read Logan confirmed the series is over. Showtime did not cancel, Logan decided last year the show would only run three seasons.

It just feels the wrap ups were forced. Agreed, Vanessa ended up with a bullet? What was the power of The Wolf of God? Ethan could have been a regular man with a gun to end what was going on. I though The Wolf of God would have taken out Dracula, ending Vanessa's suffering. Dracula even said The Wolf had the power to

Because it all happened in a very abrupt, unsatisfying way. I am pretty annoyed right now. To find out the last episode of this season was the last episode, period, how are viewers supposed to feel? As a viewer, you faithfully look forward to each season, and each episode. I don't understand the point to making this a

God I love this program. For the past three years. I have eagerly looked forward to the start of each season. At the end of each season, I was left quite disappointed, knowing it would be 9-10 months until an hour of television appeared again to make me feel I spent my time watching and listening to the best program

Vampire foreplay.

Forgot about their connection. Now it seems surprising Vanessa has not turned to Victor for help or friendship while Ethan and Sir Malcolm are away.
