Weird (probably intentional though) that their choice in directors is so in sync with the quality of the original trilogy. Abrams is solid (ANH), Johnson is weird and unexpected (ESB), and then Trevorrow is kind of disappointing (ROTJ).

'vaguely' uh huh
Still chipping away at Watch Dogs, which I still like more than I expected to, even if it's extremely paint-by-numbers. The mission design is solid, though, and I really appreciate the fact that you can just play all the story missions without having to do any extraneous side activities at all. Hate it when open world…
As far as I can tell it's the quintessential American novel: it's about baseball, about Jackie Kennedy, about a waste disposal company owner, about an artist living in the desert. It's a bunch of intertwined stories taking place over several decades. Almost every sentence is beautiful, which actually makes it kind of…
I guess in this parallel universe the AVC is now Reddit.
I really should be (continuing with) reading Delillo's Underworld. I'm about a third of the way through and it's amazing, and due to its somewhat episodic nature, it's possible to pick it back up… but I just can't find the inner peace to sit down and make some progress. One day!
You should know I only saw this once, back when it first came to theaters.
Hey, 2016? Let's try that again. I think you can do better. Less death, please.
I think Nathan Rabin is a good writer. I also think he's flat-out wrong here. This movie wasn't shocking or memorable despite all the violence, and while it looked cool, it lacked any sort of substance or value beyond its style.
I did! The reason I started KotOR II in the first place was because it got re-released on Steam last year with proper widescreen support and some other great additions, and the developers have also semi-officially endorsed the RCM and added Steam Workshop support, making it really easy to install.
I feel you! For me, deciding to just buckle down and actually finish a set number of games before buying anything new has helped, and keeping a list of everything I play and finish has made this pretty satisfying, too.
Oh what I wouldn't give to have see Bowie's reaction upon first seeing this…
My main goal for 2016 is to continue working on my Steam backlog. I want to get to the point where I no longer have a bunch of games leering at my from my library that I only stopped playing because something else came along, not because I wasn't enjoying them.
