Anderson Cooper is a very handsome man. That's all I've got on this.
Hmm, saw a trailer for it that looked dreadful, and Mark Kermode wasn't super positive on this one, so while I tend to agree with him this review makes it sound fantastic. Might catch it if it ever even comes out here, seems like it'd be worth seeing on the big screen. Plus Ian McDiarmid is in it.
There was a thing my local theater used to do where every Tuesday you could get a €5,- ticket and see an as-of-yet unreleased mystery film. It led to me seeing many a decent flick (Slumdog Millionaire, Finding Nemo, Death at a Funeral) but it also was the reason I sat through The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
"[E]veryone here is patting themselves on the back with one hand while typing snark (some of it funny) with the other."
*tired shrug*
Crix Madine, never forget
DOOM really only comes alive when played at the higher difficulties, imo. And this isn't meant to be a 'git gud/way it's meant to be played' type comment; I feel like the mechanics are much better employed when you die quicker, because it becomes so much more frantic trying to get that glory kill to replenish your…
Witcher 3, hour 89 according to Steam. Still enjoying it a lot. It's such an immersive experience, the sense of place is remarkable and so far I've really only encountered one quest I found tedious and off-putting, which is such a feat when you consider the size and scope of that game.
Fuck this guy.
Y'know, I bet that could actually be good when done properly. But that's not what we're here for, so -> barfing into an open container.
There's too many to count, really, but there are a few that stick out in my memory:
That's fair, I guess. It's just that I saw quite a lot of buzz for this film before this trailer came out, and seeing it now I just think it looks generic & forgettable.
This looks terrible, right? Why are people excited for this?
Idris Elba's character from Pacific Rim: Major Stacker Pentecost.
Feverishly waiting for No Man's Sky to unlock. 8 Hours!
If you want to insult pop musicians maybe pick better targets than Pusha T and Justin Timberlake, who each are respected and well-liked artists in their respective genres, with discographies that stretch back decades.
I actually read that scene somewhat differently, with Jesse's expression being one of guilt when confronted with the flames, which served as a direct visual metaphor for the place Jesse presumes he sent Eugene.
Personally, I don't necessarily think that someone's bad output negates or makes me question the good things they've done, and I think that Pegg's poor choice in starring roles might be more financially motivated than anything else. Anyway, I don't think we fundamentally disagree on anything major, and I agree with…
Fair, but as far as 'things that are (co-)written by Simon Pegg and don't blow chunks', that's an example. Maybe it's the only example? I don't have great faith in this movie or Simon Pegg's ability to be good in anything that doesn't have Wright attached to it.
